The Spaghetti Incident? Reviews:
Disappointed GNR fan
2008-04-27 - I was let down by this albulm. I have liked all the GNR albulms but this one has been played the least. There a couple good songs but it is not one I can pop in a listen to all the way through. If you are collecting all their work I would put this towards the bottm of the list.
GREAT
2008-03-05 - First off, let me say I have ALL GnR Cd's, released, not released, legal, illegal, hahaha. Anyway, I am a huge fan so I picked this up about 15 years ago when it came out. I think it's fantastic. It's compiled of covers of some great rock songs. It's rare for me to be able to say this, but these covers (IMO) are BETTER than the originals. If you're a die hard fan you'd like it a lot. If you're a radio release only fan, don't bother you couldn't possibly appreciate this, or anything else for that matter.
under rated album
2007-08-02 - By this time GNR were tired worn out from the use your illiusions tour which lasted seven months but they still had to put in another album and thats where the spaghetti incident comes in its an album based upon punk rock songs they were influenced by now i will write a reveiw on each song,
1. since i dont have you, okay but its defenentaly not the best song on the album, 4/5 stars,
2. new rose, this is a good song nice tribute but duffs vocals arent that good but i still rate it, 4/5 stars
3. down on the farm, this is one of my favrits off the whole album defentally a good song, 5/5 stars
4. human being, not a good song drags on way to long they should of made it only 2 mintues it says in the booklet its only 4 mintues but really its 7 minutes long pretty crappy song, 3/5 stars
5. raw power, good tribute and a good song one of only two tributes i've heard of here but anyways its a good tribute, 5/5 stars
6. aint it fun, pretty good song but axls voice sounds really bad on this one but the beats cool, 4/5 stars
7. buick makane, okay tribute luckily its only 2 minutes long because if it went on longer i would think it sucked, 4/5 stars
8. hair of the dog, the only other song on the album i know of the best tribute i have ever heard to this song best song on the whole album, 5/5 stars
9. attitude, good short really heavy song, 5/5 stars
10. black leather, good hard rocking song another great one, 5/5 stars
11. you cant put your arms around a memory, crapy song its just accoustic dumb, 2/5 stars
12. i dont care about you, good punk song, 5/5 stars
The best one!
2007-03-18 - I was always more a fan of Slash's guitar work and tone on the GNR albums than of the songs themselves (with a few notable exceptions). In my opinion, guitar-wise, this album is way more 'raw' and 'gritty' than the others. Slash's solos are absolutely perfect and full of emotion (Ain't It Fun being a good example), and his rhythm playing is devastating. It's hard not to smile listening to the menacing opening of 'Down on the Farm' or 'Black Leather'. Through and through this album just kicks, with none of the over-produced feel of the UYI albums. Axl's voice is in top shape as well and the choice of songs here provides a wide array of musical styles (still punk though), resulting in a very well-rounded album. That's why, ironically, the only non-original Guns N Roses album is also my favourite.
the last cd was their final
2007-01-11 - some song are good, but still guns n' roses was the best. recomented only if you collect their cd's
