Description of The Last Boy Scout:
Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans star as yet another pair of mismatched detective buddies in this violent, cynical action movie about a discredited Secret Service agent turned gumshoe (Willis) who teams with a former pro-football quarterback (Wayans) to investigate sports corruption. The script by Shane Black moves and feels exactly like his script for Lethal Weapon, with the same wisecracks, putdowns, fights, scenes of torture, and over-the-top climax. Willis is on autopilot, and Wayans is all right but far from charismatic. Some of the supporting cast make a bigger impression, including Halle Berry and stand-up comic Taylor Negron, who plays a very mean accomplice of the film's chief villain. The DVD release has remastered sound, optional full-screen and widescreen presentations, optional French soundtrack, and optional French, English, or Spanish subtitles. --Tom Keogh

Pre-owned movies are great! 
2009-10-27 - This review isn't about the movie. I had seen it before and I knew it was a good movie. This review is about buying a pre-owned video. I was a little fearful about purchasing a used DVD but I was pleasantly surprised. The quality was great, the movie came much faster than they had promised, and it came with the original case with all the movie info. I have since bought other pre-owned DVD's with similiar success. Great work Amazon.

2009-09-22 - a great action pack 80's early 90's movie doesnt make movies like these anymore.damon waynes and bruce willis great tag team together and halle berry is so fine even though she only had a few parts in the movie.

Highly Entertaining Action-Comedy Thriller From The Writer Of "Lethal Weapon." Set, Hike.
2009-08-22 - This action comedy thriller from the writer of "Lethal Weapon" is terrific, but there's one thing I didn't understand. SPOILER WARNING!!! What did Billy Cole have to do with the overall storyline? Also, for what exactly did Hallenback hate Baynard? SPOILERS OVER!!! could somebody please explain that to me? Other than that, I highly enjoyed this action-comedy. I half-expected Bruce Willis to say,
"Yipee-ca-yay, motherf....." Damon Wayans is pretty good in an action movie. Halle Berry (a rising star at the time) was very good in this movie. I recommend it. Should have been rated PG-13 for strong violence and some language.
