The Bocephus Box Reviews:
A must for any Hank William Fan
2007-11-11 - This is by far his best CD, a must have for the Hank William Jr Fans out there
Do NOT buy
2006-10-30 - Early recordings and/or unknown versions. Please stick to his originally released CDs
Pretty good but could have been better
2006-07-06 - Got this as a gift a few years back. I've enjoyed it because it introduced me to some good songs that I was not familiar with (Outlaw Women and I've got rights for example). One of the gems for me is "To Love Somebody" (love the way he does the song). The best of the bunch by far is on CD one. Most of the songs on CD's two and three just don't do much for me. Some of its okay and some if it just isn't worth listening to. I give CD one five stars but the other two bring the rating down to only three.
verry pleased
2006-03-26 - this collection includes everything i wanred on one set.quality and performance are execellent.could not ask for anymore.
Not as essential as the Complete Hank Jr
2004-04-18 - This is a good set, but you should own "The Complete Hank Williams Jr." along with it or "Complete" by it's self. This set leaves off a couple of standards, has too many covers, of both his own and others songs, irreleavent live cuts, and a duet with Ray Charles, who always seems to show up on a duet with anybody important, if he can. "The Complete" set is far from complete, but it is a good complete greatest hits package, or complete radio songs set. Therefore, it is more consistent. Like his father's most consistent set, "Original Singles Collection" The "Complete Hank Jr" does not seem to break up the rotation of basic, normal county "songs". Just has Hank Senior sets are too limited or too exstensive, some of Junior's sets are one of the two, as well. For your dollar get Hank Sr. "Original Singles Collection" and "The Complete Hank Williams Jr." and you will feel complete, has far as hits go. Only the weird Die Hard, like myself, need the Hank Sr. "The Complete Hank Williams" Which is a 10 cd set of Jr's father.
