2009-12-26 - I got this CD as a gift for my husband who loves Harry Connick Jr. He thinks its great. Product arrived quickly with no complications in great condition. No complaints, other than I"m an avid Blues fan and this is def. big band/jazz! :)

2009-12-02 - Harry Connick, Jr.'s first Christmas album showcases his talent very nicely. The set of songs we get here is very well arranged; and Harry's voice never sounded better. The quality of the sound is excellent and I love that artwork!
The CD track set starts with "Sleigh Ride;" Harry delivers this with panache and he handles subtle tempo and key changes like the pro that he is! The musical arrangement is somewhat jazzy and it works very well for this tune. The title track, "When My Heart Finds Christmas," charms me with its natural beauty; that chorus harmonizes to perfection--and beyond!
A more dynamic number would have to be "(It Must've Been Ol') Santa Claus;" this also has a fine jazzy treatment and Harry's excellent diction increases the quality of his performance even more. "Blessed Dawn of Christmas Day" makes good use of the strings; but wisely they never try to steal the show from Harry--he is squarely in the spotlight which is right where he belongs!
"Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" is just fantastic; Harry performs this faultlessly and it's another highlight of this CD. "Little Drummer Boy" has a creative arrangement that grew on me over time--it's actually very well done. Listen also for Harry's stunning "Ave Maria;" Harry really outdoes even himself on "Ave Maria."
"Parade of the Wooden Soldiers" is very easy on the ear and that jazzy treatment works well for this classic tune. "What Child Is This?" features Harry Connick, Jr. front and center; and he never lets go of a single superfluous note. I'm very impressed; and there's yet another gem in "Christmas Dreaming." Wow--how he can sing; and that chorus sounds just great.
"I Pray on Christmas" has a fine arrangement that makes it incredibly catchy and upbeat at once; this really shines. "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" features a very nice children's choir that sounds terrific along with Harry's singing; and "O Holy Night" amazes me with its sophistication. The album ends with Harry performing "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" is a sweet, sweet ballad full of romance and Harry gives it a magnificent interpretation that leaves me wanting more.
Harry Connick, Jr. has other holiday albums out; but this one remains a very strong one and I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys high quality control Christmas music. You won't be disappointed!
This is His Best Christmas Album
2009-12-01 - I found this album years ago, though I am not a Jazz fan per se who can not love this CD set? My children now pull this out the day after thanksgiving and I see my older parents loving it during Christmas time. It combines spiritual tunes that embody what Christmas is truly about, along with fun songs that appeal to young and old! The jazzy nature and Harry's personality come through in a way that really make an atmosphere that is quite unique. It's not a superficial work and truthfully Im writing this because I just listened to his latest set and I have to say this one just has more passion and depth than the recent "What a Night" Christmas set. This is sure to warm you up inside and thats what makes this stand out..it has Harry' heart and soul in it and its fabulous!
Best Christmas CD!
2009-10-17 - This is by far my most favorite Christmas CD ever. It gives you that great cozy, sitting by the fire Christmas feeling. Love the classic songs and of course, Harry's voice is amazing!
