Editorial Review:
This is the most comprehensive of Disney collections, though the Classic Disney series is more up to date. Spread across three discs, the set features hits and forgotten favorites from movies, TV, and the parks (although more thorough work remains to be done in the last regard). Since the Disney catalog is in a state of constant change, this is the only place to get some songs that aren't currently available; these days it's a rare treat to hear "Cruella De Vil" from 101 Dalmations, "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah," from Song of the South, and Annette's theme from The Monkey's Uncle. A thick CD booklet is included, putting the songs in the context of Walt Disney's long, astounding career. --John Sanchez

The Music of Disney: A Legacy in Song Reviews:
Music of Disney 5 Star Review
2009-10-09 - This came timely and in great shape. My family and I love the music and will enjoy it for a long time to come.

Nicer than Expected 5 Star Review
2009-08-31 - This was a collection for which we had been looking for quite some time. It is no longer produced by Disney but Amazon has an amazing assortment of third-party vendors who have just what you are looking for. The vendor's record of meeting customers' needs was stellar and he met and exceeded ours. The collection arrived within five days and was in pristine condition. The arrival estimate had originally been three to four weeks. Imagine our joy at it arriving so soon. We couldn't have been more pleased. The collection consists of three CDs and a very handsome booklet containing background on the composers and the tunes. Very nice.

i love these cds 5 Star Review
2009-08-10 - My brother bought these for me when CDs were just starting out. I miplaced my originals. I saw these and had to buy them for my son. He loves them!!!!!!

I have such a beautiful voice, I should sing solo. 4 Star Review
2008-10-24 - This is a three disc box set of Disney music. The first two discs feature music from Disney cartoons, or live action films that featured animated sequences. The third disc features music from Disney live action films, television shows and theme parks. The songs from before the mid 1950s include whatever sound effects or dialogue that appeared in the film while the song was playing, sometimes to the detriment of the song. There are songs from almost every Disney animated film up to 1991, including the films the didn't have any good songs. But most of the songs are quite good, or at least fun to listen to for nostalgia's sake. If you are a Disney fan, you will enjoy this a lot.

Great collection! 4 Star Review
2008-05-03 - I have this collection on cassette and I plan to buy the CD's. I love this set because it spans the history of Disney's wonderful songbook of music. Where else can you hear the Swamp Fox theme or Sean Connery singing Pretty Irish Girl? I am a total Disney fan and I would recommend this set to anyone who loves Disney or wants to show their kids Disney's amazing history in song. The one drawback is that it does not include the music from the last decade or so...but, that's okay because there are several good Disney CD's out there that do. Ultimate Disney volumes 1-3 actually. I think that is what it is called...Anyway, such a great variety of music here.
