Join America's sweetheart, Lizzie McGuire, on the trip of a lifetime in the theatrical hit THE LIZZIE MCGUIRE MOVIE, starring teen sensation Hilary Duff (AGENT CODY BANKS). Goodbye, home! Hello, Rome! Lizzie, along with classmates Gordo, Kate, and Ethan, is celebrating with a graduation trip to Italy to experience la dolce vita -- and some awesome pizza! In a whirlwind of comic events, Lizzie is mistaken for Italy's biggest pop diva, Isabella, and falls for Paolo, Isabella's handsome singing partner. Transformed from awkward teen into international pop star, Lizzie now has the choice of a lifetime. Will becoming Italy's next singing sensation also mean leaving her family and close friends behind? It's up to Lizzie to embrace newfound courage and do things she never thought possible. Find out what dreams are made of in THE LIZZIE MCGUIRE MOVIE.

Description of The Lizzie McGuire Movie:
The Lizzie McGuire Movie spins around the axis of Disney Channel starlet Hilary Duff, whose glossy good looks and rather mature figure are balanced by a sweetly bashful persona and an endearing klutziness. On a school trip to Rome, Lizzie is discovered to be the virtual twin of an Italian pop star named Isabella--and her dreamy former partner wants Lizzie to take Isabella's place at an award show to avoid a lawsuit. Only Lizzie's loyal best friend Gordo (Adam Lamberg) suspects that Paolo may not be all that he seems. The Lizzie McGuire Movie is competent fluff, but the most fun to be had actually comes from Lizzie's pesky little brother (Jake Thomas) and his Machiavellian friend Melina (Carly Schroeder), who plot to humiliate Lizzie for fun and personal gain. Also featuring Alex Borstein (Mad TV) as Lizzie's tyrannical principal and chaperone. --Bret Fetzer

    The Lizzie McGuire Movie Reviews:
Unworthy of the series 1 Star Review
2009-11-04 - This movie completely ignored the developments of the tv series. Lizzie seemed to forget she realized Gordo liked her (the costume party episode and the series finale). Instead of using this movie as a great opportunity to delve into Gordo and Lizzie's relationship, its wasted on some random Italian popstar. Furthermore, Lizzie appears very un-Lizzie like here as a shallow and rude girl. What made her character great - the insecurity, the sweetness - is lost here. And the fact that Miranda is not here so Kate is the friend is bizzare. And no Tudgeman!!!!!! Clearly this was a vanity project to show off Hilary Duff, not a way to end the series. The ending is nice on the rooftop, but too little too late, the movie should have focused on Lizzie/Gordo.

the lizzie mcguire movie 5 Star Review
2009-11-03 - nice movie watch it over thousand times got tired of it sold and know i won't it back. i wish i could have exciting adventue in rome and romance. i hope on day that can happen to me. jealous........................................

Bought this for my girlfriend, it came on time, it works 4 Star Review
2009-10-31 - So I bought this for my girlfriend, and the DVD came on time and when she watched it, it worked. It's cute if you're into Lizzie McGuire, I prefer Lion King, but what can you do.

good kids movie 4 Star Review
2009-10-15 - I bought this movie for my niece for her seventh birthday & see loved it. This movie is good it goes along with the story line of the Disney tv show "Lizzie McGuire". The movie is typicall about teenage love. Lizzie & her school class went to Rome and she meet a cute pop star within first arriving named Paolo. Paolo is nice, sweet, and good looking. Lizzie & Paolo have fun tobgether because he shows her Rome and he is going to make her a star. The whole time she is with Paolo she is leaving Gordo to cover for her. Eventually Gordo gets caught & suppposedly sent home & it makes Lizzie unhappy. Lizze fianlly finds out were her heart resides. When she goes to the coleseum to perform Gordo is there telling her Paolo is a fake & he has come up with a way to prove it. Mean time the teacher & leader of the class finds out Lizze herself is missing & they set out to find her. Also Lizzes family has came to Rome to find Lizzie because she is all over magazine covers. During the shoe everyones turns up at the show to Lizzie's big perfomance and Paolo's career gets blown because he himself cannot sing. In the end he is a fraud & they end up at the hotel packing for home & Gordo and Lizzie finally kiss. Great movie I recommend it, but dont expect it to be like the show its a little different.

No wonder Faye Dunaway wants to slap the crap out of her!! 1 Star Review
2009-02-10 - This so called "actress" thinks she can play "Bonnie" in "Bonnie and Clyde"?

I wouldn't blame La Dunaway to reprise "Mommie Dearest" and beat Duff with a wire hanger.
