So Yesterday, Pt. 2 Reviews:
THE "So Yesterday" SIngle To Have
2005-04-22 - The Thunderpuss remix really is outstanding, I only wish it were longer! This is a really good collection of tracks. I don't write off "Workin It Out" for a second as I love the guitar and drum parts as well as Hilary's singing. Worth the effort to track one of these down for your collection.
hILARY DUFF IS AMAZING
2003-11-10 - THIS IS A VERY GREAT CD SINGLE BY HILARY IT BRONGS U A LITTLE PREVIEW OF HER NUMBER 1 CD METAMORPHOSIS, AND IT HAS A LITTLE MORE A GREAT REMIX TO HER #1 SINGLE SO YESTERDAY IT IS ALSO THE THUNDERPUSS'S LAST MIX EVER SO IT IS A GREAT BUY!
A Little Meager, But Good Enough To Satisfy
2003-11-02 - While Hilary Duff may not exactly be the most talented teen star there ever was (far from it might I add). Her single off her debut album, "So Yesterday" is good in it's own right.
The title itselfs equates to a naturally bubble gum pop song, but this is not so in Hilary's case. In this case, the song is more of a mature summer-day acousic pop rock track.
The next track, "Working It Out" a b-side off her debut album is alright. But there is nothing special about it. Infact, I probably would say it would have been better just not to include it. It's basically another "So Yesterday" without the catchiness of the original tune.
Ah, here's the gem of the release. This three track single includes, the finally released Thunderpuss remix. For many dance fans, they have been awaiting this mix for quite awhile. It's only the 4:17 minute version (radio version), however it's excellent. With a powerful and trance like background, the music energizes Hilary's rather lazy vocals in the original song. Some say it fits, and some say it's awkward. Either way, this remix is a good remix from Thunderpuss. (And the last remix from them as well.)
