Comedy 10 Movie Pack Reviews:
DON'T BUY THIS VIDEO
2009-09-05 - Of all the videos I have purchased in the past, THIS IS THE WORST!! It is grainy, sound is barely audible and drops out. Terrible background noise, much hash in picture. It looks like a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy. How do I get a refund?
I had a choice of watching this video or watching paint dry. Not a difficult choice.
PRICE MATCHES PRODUCT
2009-07-09 -
.....UNLESS YOU JUST LIKE WATCHING REALLY OLD AND OBSCURE MOVIES ...then avoid this turkey. This pack of dung is a shining example of why movie packs should be avoided ...they are just dumping grounds of unsellable movies.
.....Of the ten movies in the pack the only one that was worth watching was My Favorite Brunette with Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour ...it was typical Bob Hope fare and should satisfy his fans and a young Dorothy Lamour is always worth watching.
Oldies but Goodies
2009-03-11 - Since I am a Senior Citizen these bring back a lot of happy memories but I also thing younger people would enjoy them. This gives them a chance to see what they missed when they were not yet on the scene!
"Star-studded"
2007-07-08 - "Star-studded" is a term that gets tossed around casually, often without cause. Saying that the COMEDY 10 MOVIE PACK is star-studded is no exaggeration, however. Some of the most famous mid-20th century Hollywood actors appear in these films. To name just a few: Bob Hope, Fred Astaire, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Kirk Douglas and Jimmy Cagney. Not a bad list, huh?
All of these public domain comedies are quite good. Transfer quality is fine, and the price a real bargain. With clean humor, sure-fire laughs and the best of performers, this is a collection that belongs in all home cinematic libraries.
Another related DVD box set is the COMEDY CLASSICS 50 MOVIE PACK COLLECTION. It contains six of these, plus such family favorites as the East Side Kids, Laurel & Hardy, Mickey Rooney and the Keystone Cops.
