Drive Reviews:
WORTH IT
2002-03-28 - This cd is worth every penny just for the orchestral version of Drive (it's called acoustic on the cd but it's really orchestral). The cd also gives you a few goodies like the acoustic version of pardon me, as well as the hit Drive. It is a great substitute for those of you who weren't able to obtain the cd When Incubus Attacks Vol. 1. I recommend this cd to anyone who loved Drive when they heard it on the radio, but don't really like other songs by Incubus because of the lyrics. Ahh heck if you just like collecting music this cd is for you too. It's kind of hard to find in record stores anymore so get it before it isn't produced anymore.
Killer Song
2001-08-26 - The song "Drive" is an absolute KILLER. Best song out now, if you ask me. High energy and a great gift for someone about to face a challenge in their life. Excellent. The other songs were much less impactful in both content and arrangement. Worth it just for the song DRIVE.
Better than the super rare WIA for one reason...
2001-08-17 - ...the acoustic Drive, nothing is cooler than Brandon's improvised whistling solo. The b-side Crowded Elevator is good too, but can be found on anything Incubus has put out for a while. Pardon me single...WIA...Japanese edition of Make Yourself...The other acoustics are good too especially the Pardon Me acoustic.
When Incubus Attacks, Vol. 2?
2001-08-15 - Last fall, I searched and I searched endlessly for Incubus' limited Ep, When Incubus Attacks. Well, I was eventually just flat out of luck and figured, Mp3's would have to suffice, until this Spring I found the Drive EP ... Now my life and my Incubus collection are that much more complete. The Drive EP includes: 1. Drive 2. Crowded Elevator 3. Stellar (Acoustic) 4. Pardon Me (Acoustic) and 5. Drive (Acoustic). Yes it is missing the live tracks and the "Make Yourself Acoustic Version" that WIA included, but for a poor-man's substitute, the Drive EP does very well. The acoustic version of Pardon Me is hands down the best song on here, and even better than the played out album version. The acoustic version of Drive is pretty much the same as the album version, minus the turntables and the guitar solo. All in all, the Drive EP gives you the bulk for your buck. If you missed out on When Incubus Attacks, this is your second chance.
A GREAT, GREAT ROCK SONG!
2001-06-29 - I'm not a huge fan of Rock music or Hard Metal, I'm more of a Pop fan. But then again, I like basically all kinds of music (with a few exceptions) and "Drive" is an awesome song! I saw the music video for this song and I thought it was a little weird, but the song itself is much better than the video, anyway. It's got a smooth beat that's not too hard and the lyrics are really cool. Incubus is a great Rock band and I think I will buy their CD, or at least this CD-Single. If you love Rock music, you should definitely try Incubus - they rock!
