Editorial Review:
When a blackout knocks out an elevator in a college girl's dorm, Matthew and a mystery girl connect carnally and emotionally. But he's left in the dark as to her true identity. He's got 100 suspects, and a slew of hilarious schemes to worm his way into the hearts and panty drawers of each and every one of them!
Description of 100 Girls:
Self-described "tragically glib" college freshman Jonathan Tucker finds true love in a girls' dorm elevator during a blackout, but when he forgets to get her name he has 100 suspects to sift through, one by one! It may sound like the premise of just another teen sex farce, but writer-director Michael Davis makes it the starting point of the boy's getting of wisdom. Amiable young star Tucker brings an excited and endearing innocence to his journey, and Emmanuelle Chriqui is a delight as the "promiscuous" girl who teaches him a thing or three about crippling stereotypes. Larisa Oleynik, Jaime Pressly, Marissa Ribisi, and Katherine Heigl are just a few of the other girls who help him along. 100 Girls is a refreshingly frank, funny, and sexy exploration of the dynamics of young men and women and the power of first impressions, reputations, and expectations. --Sean Axmaker
100 Girls Reviews:
Way above average College Romp
2008-04-26 - Although the plot was a little stretched at times I really enjoyed the performances, especially Ms Chriqui's. Tucker played his part well also.
Jonathan Tucker your the man
2008-02-15 - Young Jonathan tucker or Tommy Donnelly for all you cheated, morbidly depressed and disapointed Black Donnellys fans. this is a weird but funny flick. i love it and if you don't... hell your out 10 bucks
The comedy scenes were funny, but they were too few and far between
2007-12-01 - You know when an author wants to express some political viewpoint or moral or other message, but they do it so heavily that you feel like you're being hit over the head with it? That is what about half this movie is about. The scenes where they actually had comedy were indeed funny. Unfortunately, the author had to make every other scene full of the main character monologuing about the author's philosophies. To top it off, they are philosophies I would expect from a sixth grader. To make it even worse, it was necessary to pack in a few scenes where the character monologues out loud, just so other characters can disagree with poorly structured arguments so that he can shoot them down. It gets old pretty fast.
If they had only made this a comedy and stuck with it as a comedy, it would have been great. It probably wouldn't have been straight to video, either. Too bad that for every comedy scene, there is another scene where the main character is...blogging.
interesting content
