Tell Me Again-About The Night I Was Born Reviews: Inspired my daughter to create HER story 2009-11-05 - This is an engaging and inspiring book. My daughter loves when we read this one together. Curtis captures very well the magic of that first night and those first few days. She does it so well that any child can appreciate this book, regardless of how their family was put together. This book, naturally, had my daughter asking about the night she was born, over and over. Eventually, she asked me to make a story book for her about the night she was born. She was so inspired by this book! We put together her book with her favorites parts of her first few days, scrapbook style. Now, we read both books together. These magic moments are why we want to become parents to begin with! Thank you, Jamie, for such a wonderful gift.
Great Book for Domestic Adoption 2009-10-11 - This is an awesome book for domestic adoption. The first time I read it my husband & I were a waiting family and I cried. I bought it shortly after we brought home our daughter who joined our family through domestic adoption. We had to travel to another state to pick her up. Although every adoption story is different, I think this would be a great book to encourage every family to talk about their adoption story to their kids.
Domestic newborn adoption story 2009-05-05 - This book is about domestic newborn adoption. If you are doing an international adoption, as we are, this story will not reflect your process.
great for young children with questions 2008-12-13 - The illustrations and story was great. I was at a professional school counselors conference and this book was highly recommended.
Surprise.. surprise. 2008-12-13 - I was taken by surprise by the subject matter of the book. I was not aware the book was about an adopted child.
I wanted to give it as part of a Christmas gift for my grandchild who lives out of state, but only read it when it arrived for shipment to her. Im really glad I read thru the book because it would have been totally inappropriate and confusing to the child. Under normal circumstances, this would be an ideal book for an adopted child to read. Sorry.
