The stars write down a word they think would be most appropriate for the missing word and then two contestants try to guess what the stars have chosen. A point is given for each correct match and the one with the most points wins.Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: TELEVISION/SERIES & SEQUELS Rating: TV-PG UPC: 787364750894
Best of Match Game DVD Collection Reviews:
Way Better Than GSN
2009-08-31 - This DVD set is great! It has many of the classic episodes, no credit crunches, and it has the classic ticket plugs and fee plugs. It's way better than GSN.
Match Game is awesome!
2009-08-17 - These DVDs are the best! I enjoyed Match Game as a kid, and I was thrilled to see it on the Game Show Network. We just had that channel for a month, so we got this set to watch anytime! I grew up on game shows, and I hope my kids and future generations can do the same. I really think they help with learning and memorizing things.
Brand New
2009-07-14 - This Box set DVD item was brand new and in good condition. Of course the NY postal service made sure it arrived to me just crushed enough to break the little plastic DVD holders off the 4th DVD but that happens with all DVD's that get shipped to me unless they are in a box inside a box. You have to practically send it in a bomb shelter for it to arrive perfectly. However, the DVD did not get cracked and everything played perfectly. Would buy again from this seller.
What a Trip Back!
2009-04-08 - this was purchased with Pepsi Points but it is such a trip back to the mid 70's!! When I was sick from school, unfortunately too often, I used to watch this game show; so this was quite a nice treat.
The DVD itself is hard to navigate through as one has to click on the individual episodes to play them. I wish the people who designed it would have included a "play all" feature or play the individual years.
Darling, I Like It, I Can't Deny It
2008-08-24 - I'm really enjoying watching this DVD. Although I was born in 1990 and I only know a few of the celebrities, I still found it to be laugh-out-loud funny and at times really clever. The picture quality is quite good considering it's a 70's/Early 80's video taped show, although there is the occasional tape glitch, they only happen for a few seconds in a handful of episodes. Indeed, the picture quality is a lot better than some DVDs I've seen of shows made years later (I was actually appalled at how bad the picture quality was on one late-80's sitcom I bought on DVD). My only problem with the DVD set was that it left me wanting more, and I hope more episodes come to DVD.
