Good starter for those that don't already own any
2009-10-14 - I'm not going to complain like others did about what discs are in here already being available somewhere else. I've never picked up any of the DVDs previously so I found this set on sale and it's a perfect starter set for someone that's starting a Halloween collection.

30 Years of HALLOWEEN!!!
2009-08-20 - HALLOWEEN- I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this film! In my opinion, HALLOWEEN is without a doubt, one of the best movies ever made! I love everything about it! I love that it takes place on HALLOWEEN! I love all the characters; especially Michael Myers, Dr. Loomis, and Laurie Strode. I love the mood and atmosphere! It has a classic horror story of a psychopath breaking out of Smith's Grove Sanitarium the night before HALLOWEEN and the next day, returns to Haddonfield, Illinois and goes on a rampage and stalks three friends named Laurie, Annie, and Lynda. Dr. Loomis tries to stop Michael from killing anyone, but it's already too late. Laurie is babysitting Tommy Doyle, and next door, Annie is babysitting Lindsey Wallace. Michael waits patiently to make his move. I love Michael's mask! It's freakin' awesome! Will Laurie survive the dark, bloody HALLOWEEN night? If you love classic horror, I highly recommend HALLOWEEN!!!

HALLOWEEN 4- Ten years after Michael tried to kill his sister, and six years after Dan Challis saved the kids from dying from the Silver Shamrock masks, Michael comes out of his coma and wants to kill his niece, Jamie Lloyd. Dr. Loomis tries to stop Michael from doing that. Jamie lives with the Carruthers family. Her step-sister Rachel has a big date on HALLOWEEN, but the babysitter broke her ankle at the ice rink, so Rachel has to babysit Jamie. When Rachel takes Jamie trick-or-treating, Rachel sees her boyfriend with the Sheriff's daughter. Soon, Michael comes after Jamie. Some rednecks try to stop Michael also. Jamie, Rachel, Brady, and Kelly all get stuck in the Sheriff's house with Michael inside. If you love the HALLOWEEN series, you'll love HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS!!!

HALLOWEEN 5- I love almost all the HALLOWEEN films, but this one goes a little downhill for me for two reasons; (1)If they made the Myers house more believable and not a mansion. (2) Not hint about the stupid thorn curse, then I would probably like it a lot more! One year after stabbing her foster mother, Jamie Lloyd has been taken to a children's hospital. Since Jamie touched Michael's hand, she exhibits signs of a telepathic link with her Uncle Michael. On HALLOWEEN, Michael returns to Haddonfield to finish what he started last year. Rachel, Tina, Mikey, Spitz, and Sammy become Michael's new targets at a HALLOWEEN party as he tries to find Jamie. (That party was awesome with all the HALLOWEEN decorations and costumes!) I love the scene when Michael is chasing Jamie, Billy, and Tina through the cornfields with the car! Donald Pleasence is back playing the awesome Dr. Loomis who tries to hunt Michael throughout the HALLOWEEN night at all costs. Later, Loomis takes Jamie to the Myers house. I love scenes of the police and S.W.A.T. team stakeout at Michael's house. That's pretty cool. Loomis tries to reason with Michael one last time before the showdown. Loomis uses Jamie as bait to trap Michael. When Loomis finally stops Michael, he is taken to the police station, so that the U.S. National Guard will take Michael to a maximum-security prison until he dies, but something bad happens. What happens? You'll just have to watch! If you love the HALLOWEEN series, maybe you'll love HALLOWEEN 5: THE REVENGE OF MICHAEL MYERS!!!

How things work in distribution
2009-08-14 - As a distributor myself, I can tell you that Anchor Bay does not own the rights to distribute movies such as Halloween 2, and any of the "missing" Halloween movies. They can only release the movies they actually own the distribution rights to. That's the deal.

"ANCHOR BAY", STOP IT!
2009-07-16 - I am witting this review just incase the people at ANCHOR BAY look at reviews for the crap they issue. First of all ANCHOR BAY nice try, your staff is apparently trying to get it, but STILL HAVE NOT. All of us HALLOWEEN fans want A COMPLETE BOX SET, you know "Halloween", "Halloween 2", "Halloween 3" (Even though "Halloween 3" doesn't follow the plot, and is probably one of the worst films ever made.) "Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers", "Halloween 5", "Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers", and "Halloween H20: 20 Years Later". Until you can deliver a box set with ALL of the original films STOP RE-RELEASING THEM. I am boycotting all of ANCHOR BAY's present and future "Halloween" re-releases until they get with the program. Also, "ANCHOR BAY" why do you discontinue your good releases like "Sleuth", with Laurence Olivier? The few good movies you've released are in crapy editions, and the others are discontinued. From now on ANCHOR BAY production team listen to US the customers because it's our money you want!

P. S. If you ever do release a COMPLETE BOX set try being more creative with the cover art on the front of the cases.
