Editorial Review:
Nana invites children to experience the heart of God as she tells warm, loving stories based on real Bible events. Delight in the excitement of the boy who shares his lunch with Jesus. Cry with the child whose father becomes a leper and is cast away. Then, rejoice when God's Son heals his daddy! Or feel the fear of the little sheep as he is lost and waits in the dangerous night for his shepherd to rescue him. Seven stories that will hold attention and connect with a child's heart.
Stories included are: David & Goliath; Jesus Healing the Leaper; Balaam & the Donkey; Feeding of the 5,000; Jesus Welcoming the Children; Parable of the Lost Sheep; and the Crucifixion and Resurrection. This book comes with a bonus narrated CD.
Foreword by Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York.
Nana's Bible Stories: CD Narrated by Jane Seymour Reviews:
Such a lovely book of Bible Stories
2007-12-14 - My aunt gave my children this book of Bible Stories to my children for Christmas. Its so warmly, lovingly written and the illustrations are beautiful. My children will love it for years.
Bible Stories with a Personal Touch
2007-10-05 - Nana's Bible Stories will definitely become a Christian children's classic. The stories are told with such vivid description and from the point of view of very relatable characters. Nana has Balaam's Donkey give us the skinny in "A Donkey's Tale". The story of David and Goliath is related by one of David's more timid friends. We experience the parable of the Lost Sheep as we frisk along with a rebellious little lamb and we view the crucifixion through the eyes of a sad and curious butterfly. I have heard each of the Bible stories since childhood but Nana manages to make them fresh and give them more vivid life. I can not recommend this book highly enough. It is a must have for those of us who wish to pass on Biblical values to our children and grandchildren in a way that they will never forget. Don't be surprised if while reading them you are moved to laughter and tears. It is part of Nana's magic. Don't miss this book.
