My Boyfriend's Back Reviews:
so underrated
2008-12-01 - I first saw this movie back in 1993 when it first came out...i bought it off this website 15 years later, and I remembered just how good of a film this really is. I'm a dude, and i still tear up a little bit when Johnny "dies". This movie is so underrated. Check it out.
Johnny came back for one last chance! Great movie!!
2008-02-17 - What made the 1990's great were underrated movies like this one! the movie was abit short and the comedy was dirt dry. But the story was sweet and the acting was average. What gave this movie a 4 star was it lack of realism in a modern day world! Some parts of this film are carried away with too much fantasy. The ending was great! the song played at the end of the movie was " Hang on For Dear Life" by MCC. But you won't find on itunes.
Before there was Shaun Of The Dead . . .
2005-11-28 - It's about a boy who dies trying to save the girl he has a crush on, then comes back from the dead to take her to the prom. In this one he's a zombie, not a ghost, so it's sort of a forerunner to Shaun of the Dead, though the protagonist is the only zombie. There's plenty of hilarious stuff, but it's pretty gross. Austin Pendleton is a scream as the doctor trying to help the zombie.
ABC Movie of Week different movie
2005-08-27 - My Boyfriend's Back starring Sandy Duncan, Judith Light, another woman as 3 middle schoolers' with a number 1 hit when lead singer gives up singing out of fear of failure. They reunite for a "back to the 60s" TV special, revisit and resolve middle school jealousies, fears, fantasies. 60's music with original musicians: Peggy Marsh, Jerry Lewis' son, etc. Nostalgic fun. I am searching for DVD or VHS version same as everyone else who has mistakenly found this site, please contact if you have the movie.
My Boyfriends Back
2005-08-13 - I am looking for the same dvd as one of the other reviewers, about the 60's group reuniting. If anyone knows where I could get this dvd or vhs please let me know. Thank you.
