2003-07-20 - I love the song All For You! Although it's not exactly an innovative song, it's a fun party song to dance to and it's really groovy. It was #1 for 7 weeks and one of the biggest songs of 2001 as well as one of janet's biggest hits ever. The album didn't live up to the hype, musically, it was a weak effort on janet's part, but all for you is one of the songs that really stood out on the album.
ALL FOR YOU - THE VIDEO VERSION
2002-07-03 - Track one is the radio edit, track two contains the video version. Everyone who's seen the video did hear a little bridge in the song, featuring Janet's old hit THE PLEASURE PRINCIPLE. Well, this is the only official cd where this video version is on. So, if you like it, get it.
Buying an LP brings back memories!
2002-01-20 - The novelty of purchasing an album in 2001 was just too much to pass up. This VINYL release of remixes, as well as the original version, of Janet's hit "All for You" is just something that the few of us that still have turntables can't resist.
The remixes are good for a song that is steeped in the disco 70's. For the uninitiated "All For You" samples heavily from Change's "The Glow of Love," the song that featured a young Luther Vandross on lead vocals.
Janet's updates are smashing with the best being the 10:28-long "Thunderpuss Club Mix". Coming a close second is the seven-minute plus "Rock Mix". Both are perfect for the clubs, as well as a house party.
After almost twenty years, Miss Jackson still knows how to "throw down."
Better than the Whole Album
2001-10-23 - This is a great song and performance from Janet Jackson. It demonstrates her vast talent and versatility. I really think this is an important song for her. It is not trite or trivial yet it still has great mass appeal.
A dope single with dope remiixes
2001-10-18 - The remixes on this cd are "off the chain." Look for the remixes with DJ Quik and DJ Premier. The Premier remix is blazing hot!
