Go Deep Reviews:
Janet Jackson-Go Deep Mixes...Not Bad 4 Star Review
2006-02-23 - Janet's Go Deep Mixes are not her best work, but the stand out tracks on this Import are "T.R. Funk Mix" and "Masters at Work Down Tempo Mix" and of course the original album version. This CD is a must buy if you collect Janet singles. I wish they had added the Missy/Timbaland Remix on this single, That remix was off the hook!

Love Track 3 5 Star Review
2004-07-09 - May I speak with Janet please?
Who shall I say is calling?
She knows who this is.
And you areeeeeeeee?
She knows who this is.
And this is regardingggggggggg?
She knows what this is regarding.
Please hold. She's in a meeting. I'm sorry. Bye bye.
I'm sorry. Bye. Bye.
This short exchange comes from the middle of this sensational remix. Track 3
It's kind of a "Ah Mickey You're So Fine" electric snare drumbeat/latin/slightly reggae remix that is like a really, really good step show. On the original cd--Velvet Rope---I wasn't too crazy about this song---I'm often upset at how the best songs or versions of them are on the remix (Marketing trick I bet!). This is bouncy, it's funny with the secretary/Janet Last Nite Man Caller bit in the middle of the song that alludes back to the David Spade SNL skit----and you areeeeee? And this is regardinggggggg?
I've worked as an assitance years ago to someone big in business and billionaires used to call to speak with him and I had to create the most insane demonstrations because he would be right there but as he was in sales, I couldn't offend these potential customers but at the same time I couldn't put them all thru. I have played the phone---And you areeeeeeeeee? game.

I love the snare bass beat to this remix, it's kind of a jerky dance to it, like a shimmy chest pelvic pushing mess that would be delicious up close in a club hands up to the chest snapping out, elbows bent, almost like a Japanes erotic/Asian karate dance. What was a mediocre song on the album gets the zazz it needs to bounce and snap real hard. Sometimes I actually listen to this one remix over and over---I just got an idea to put together a cd with the original songs and intros but with the best remixes dropped in and the weaker tunes left out.
Not every song is a homerun but I would've loved to be in a club somewhere and get surprised by this song. Her low voice, like bells chiming is really complimented by the deep bass snaps of this. Then the deep almost Seal like voice of the man caller and the snarky Debi Mazar secretary make for nice sound contrasts. Buy it, you might like it.

Good but not the Greatest 3 Star Review
2002-02-07 - I have always been a huge Janet fan. I have quite a few of her CD's, however, this is the 1st CD Single I have bought by Janet. I like tracks 1 & 4 the best. (Original Version & Masters @ Work Alternative Mix) The Teddy Riley Mix isn't all that bad either, BUT this would have been better, IF, the Timbaland/Missy Elliot remix would have been featured.

Hmmm.. 3 Star Review
2000-03-19 - I bought the Go Deep single about 9 months ago, it is one of my favorite singles that was released from Janet's 97 Velvet Rope album. Although this single lacks a little, the only remix I really enjoyed was the Roni Size Remix, he rules! I am glad that he will be a part of Janet's next album. The other remixes are alright, but I guess buy this if you like collecting Janets singles.

Good but not best Janet 3 Star Review
1998-11-18 - Teddy Riley remixes are good, look forward to the domestic release in 1999. The Timbaland/Missy Elliot mix is the bomb!
