Editorial Review:
In the tradition of previous smash hit collaborations with her hip-hop pals such as Nas, Jadakiss, Ja Rule and LL Cool J, the single 'Hold You Down' is an infectious duet with Bronx bomber Fat Joe (whom she originally worked with on her debut album six years ago). Epic. 2005.

Hold Your Down Reviews:
YOU ALWAYS HAVE SEEM TO HOLD ME DOWN JENNIFER 5 Star Review
2005-06-28 - Here is my thing. I think that people need to go into something without hesitation. Most people say they dont like the song because they don't like Jennifer. Therefore they say they don't like her music and that she can't sing. The girl can sing, and her vocal range has developed since her 1st album "On the 6." Hold You Down really showcases Jennifer's unique voice. We all know she is no Mariah but a cery few in the music industry are. That is why there are so many different singers, because we all like different things. Britney and Diana Ross don't have the best vocals but they are indeed great singers. Jennifer is just as good as Diana Ross, compare the vocals you will see. You can really hear Jennifer's vocals on "Hold You Down," "Can't believe this is me," and many other out of the many songs she has. I am proud that she is such a hard worker. DAMN it if she wants to release a entire album with 100 songs and they are all the same, she can do that. If you work that hard why not be able to do it. Her record deal wasn't just given to her, she did it like everyone else. So if you listen to her albums you will how amazingly she has grown as an artist. I also remember she was doing an interview with Diane Sawyer, when she was dating Ben. Jennifer sang a clip from "Baby I Love You" and it was amazing. If there is any advice I would give it would be that sometimes the music hides her GREAT voice and therefore you can't hear it as well. My point is the girl can sing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad original song...but the "remix to remix" with Fat Joe...is the NEW SH*T! 5 Star Review
2005-06-25 - This song is bad...I know...Hard to like this...but the "remix to remix"...is on fire! Sounds a little like "I'm glad" but better better...
Get Right Remix without horn + Hold You Down "Remix to remix" are alright 5/5 songs!
I don't know if it's the remix to remix ft. Fat Joe in this single but this remix is off da hook!

Hold Them Away 1 Star Review
2005-05-25 - Jennifer Lopez has really been one of those very few artists that really has overshowcased her feeling as somebody who really can't sing. Not that she has is a very well put actress, but her collaborations really don't even hit that nail on the head. Her latest single, Hold You Down with rapper Fat Joe is a very wimpy and not even well put song. It actually sounds more like it is very bland. They've both collaborated before on Fellin' So Good which was a little more upbeat, and catchy. This song isn't even as close to adequate from Jenny from the block. As for Fat Joe, he should consider going back to hard core than playboy.

Song: F+
