Let's Get Loud Reviews:
Jennifer Lopez - Let's Get LOUD (US Import) 5 Star Review
2005-02-18 - 'Let's Get Loud' was my favourite track from Jennifer's Lopez's first album 'On The 6,' it had that great feeling about partying, letting yourself do what you want and also gave out a few stronger messages than other songs on that album. 'Let's Get Loud' is a prime example of a great party song and one that will get you going. This US import was not cheap, but I still bought it to support one of my favourite artists.

From where I bought this CD from, there were two versions of this single. There was a 2-track Euro Import, aswell as this 4-track Euro import. When I saw them, I had to gasp at both of them but I couldn't see what the tracklisting was on the back of the more-expensive (4-track) import so I took both of them to the counter. The 2-track import was a lot cheaper at £2.49 and the 4-track one was £6.99. The man at the till said the 2-track single features a Radio Remix by Kung Pow but the 4-track single features that remix, a full club remix and a radio remix by Matt & Vivo so I bought the 4-track import.

This song, being my favourite song from Jennifer's first album, I was happy with my purchase and expected some topper remixes. Let's just say I loved the single to bits and the cover is great too! It's full of colours, Jennifer looks great and it also used different colours for the Jennifer Lopez > Let's Get LOUD part too! Overall, I was very pleased but just to give the a little more information, i'll comment on the tracks from this single!

1. Album Version (3.58) - A spicy song from the album to be released as a single from 'On The 6.' After listening to this song you should always feel great and Jennifer proves why she is one of the best artists around today! I could never refuse this song even if I tried!

2. Kung Pow Radio Mix (3.57) - Everyone seems to loath this remix aswell as track 3 and they say it is very laid-back. It may be more layed back than the album version, but it made me get up and dance straight away and there's nothing wrong with this at all! Much better than the remixes he (Pablo Flores) did for the first single 'If You Had My Love.'

3. Castle Hill Club Mix (8.08) - This is the extended/longer club remix of track 2 and it's actually better than track 2! I see no need for why everyone loaths so long remixes because I think there excellent! Remember the long 11-minute remix of 'Waiting For Tonight' by the fabulous Hex? Everyone loved that.

4. Matt & Vivo Radio Mix (4.11) - Clearly the best track on this CD. It leaves you wanting more and it would've been better if the full club mix was also included. If you can find the full club remix, which clocks at 11.19, like another person said, you'll be very *LUCKY*! Great remix of an already excellent song.

Overall score: 10/10
Overall grade: A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Jennifer proves why she is one of the best artists around today with this US single with the original version plus the remixes. It's just a great song through-out and always will be!

Let's Get LOUD!!! 5 Star Review
2004-02-12 - This is top quality!
One of the best party songs ever!
This cd is really worth buying..

No US release??? BIG MISTAKE!!! 4 Star Review
2000-09-06 - First the tracks: 1. Album Version 3:58 2. Kung Pow Radio Mix 3:57 3. Castle Hill Club Mix 8:08 4. Matt & Vito's Live Your Life Radio Edit 1 4:11 This track is a great song written for Jennifer by the diva herself, Gloria Estefan. It harkens back to Gloria's early days with Miami Sound Machine. It's a very Latin-driven, funky, and definitely FUN song. "Let's get loud. Let's get loud. Turn the music up to hear that sound. Let's get loud." The original, album version is great. In fact, some of the clubs here got tired of waiting for the remixes and played this version. It was still upbeat enough to cause the crowd to go wild. The second track is marred by a really annoying "oom pah pah" synth line that finally gets lost in the layers during the second half of the song. By this time the song kicks into gear...POOF!, it's over. I hoped the third track, which is an extended version of the second would pick up the tempo some....not really. It's a good mix, but it it never really kicks into high gear. It uses more of the piano line to keep the rhythm going which is really cool. The fourth track is INCREDIBLE!!! It takes the song into a layered, synth trip that is like a combination of a Hex Hector mix and a Thunderpuss mix. It has a trance feel as well as a peak hour anthem feel to it. There is a voice altered "Let's Get Loud" that runs through it, while Jennifer jams through it. According to DMA magazine, there is an extended mix of this at the clubs that runs 11:19. If anybody finds a copy of it, LET ME KNOW! The radio edit of it is worth buying this single. Pure hard-core dance. I can't complement it enough. Why the record company is not releasing this domestically is beyond me. It definitely is the strongest of her songs from her CD.

Not As Spicy As One Would Hope 3 Star Review
2000-08-08 - "Let's Get Loud" is one of the stand-out tracks on Jennifer Lopez's debut album "On The 6," and remixes of the song only made my curiosity raise, as I was sure going to hear some great dance mixes to follow in the footsteps of Pablo Flores' "If You Had My Love" mixes.

Wow...I was incredibly wrong. First, the mixes aren't that long. I don't understand why some people are so down on loooong remixes? They are fab! The "Waiting For Tonight" mixes were some of the best mixes that I've heard, it's about wanting to dance to the MUSIC, God forbid Jen may not be singing for a few minutes and one may enjoy the music.

Anyways, the Kung Pow radio mix definitely took awhile to get used to. It's kind of laid back, and it's very motonous is some parts, but overall it's not that bad.

The Castle Hill Club Mix is the full length version of the Kung Pow mix. More of the same, not to fulfilling after having those great "Waiting For Tonight" mixes, know what I mean?

The Matt & Vito Radio Mix is just great! It's not at all what I was expecting, but instead of being let down by drivel, I got a fierce club mix! And may I point out that the full version of this mix is a 'tacky' 11-mintues, just the way most of us house and club music fans like it.

So all-in-all, I'd say buy this if only for the Matt & Vito mix, it's really cool, and if you can find the 11-minute version, you are one lucky person *L*

LOUD IS GOOD! 5 Star Review
2000-08-01 - Come On Jenifer! Shake Your Bon Bon and Get loud. This track remixes give everyone that attitude to get loud and have fun. Already used in night clubs, Jenifer Lopez combine Latin Beats and clubish beats that will keep you dancing until who knows when....
