Editorial Review:
Love her or loathe her, uber-diva Jennifer Lopez knows how to deliver on record. She understands how to make the most of her limited vocal range, choosing to surround herself with able producers Rodney Jerkins, Timbaland, Big Boi and Cory Rooney, who oversaw Lopez's first album, On the 6. The mix makes Rebirth far more enjoyable than it should be, coasting on midnight-groove ballads and polished dance tracks. Lopez's fourth studio album offers little insight into her much-gossiped-about persona, but it's an undeniably fun ride anyway. A blaring James Brown horn riff drills first single "Get Right" into your head almost immediately, and soon enough, you'll find yourself bopping to the beat. The Middle-Eastern flavor of "Step Into My World" is undeniably seductive, and it's actually enhanced by Lopez's wisp of a voice. "Whatever You Wanna Do" and "Cherry Pie" are solid dance tracks, the kind of grooves Janet Jackson made before she became a Superbowl afterthought. Elsewhere, the album is peppered with R&B ballads, much like Lopez's 2002 opus, This Is Me ... Then. Rebirth is hardly a groundbreaking affair, but it continues to showcase Lopez's skillful trend of producing solid, catchy, R&B-laced records. Nothing here ever sounds forced or canned, and in the world of MTV and radio edits, maybe that does make Lopez a bit of a revolutionary after all. --Joey Guerra

Rebirth Reviews:
My Fave J.Lo Album 5 Star Review
2009-01-28 - I'm a very big fan of jennifer and I am surpised of how many people have bashed this album just because they think jennifer "can't sing and should stick to acting".Admit that this woman is diverse and she can do it all and balance it very well.Sure she isn't mariah, celine or beyonce but she has qualities as well that make her who she is: an entertainer.I love all of jenny's albums but the most overlooked one is my favorite one she has done so far.The songs you should look after are:

Get Right: classic jennifer,it never gets old

Whatever You Wanna Do: this is get right pt.2 and this would of made an excellent video

Still Around: this is my favorite j.lo song she has recorded, the lyrics is what captivates me to this song

I,Love: it's very different from what she's done, ut it's a must hear

This album is a must hear to those who love urban dance with a mix of jazz and blues together, and if your not a j.lo fan, this will change your mind.

A Somber Side Of Jenny 5 Star Review
2009-01-27 - I think...what stands out most to me about this album is how somber and dark it is. This is just fine, however, usually Jenny's albums are full of light for the most part, fast paced. Having said that, the more somber side of her is reflected beautifully with "He'll Be Back". A quite haunting and re-assuring song for anyone that is struggling with a broken heart. Then again, there are upbeat, vintage Jenny Lo moments such as "Cherry Pie". A fast paced rock tune that really never gets old about her need for the Bad Boys. Then of course there is always a super sexy song or two for the fellas (Thank You Jenny). This time that song is "Step Into My World". Just simply hot and steamy all the way through and I think it's sort of Middle Eastern in sound. Perhaps the greatest friendship type of songs Jennifer has ever done also resides on this record in the form of "Hold You Down", a really sweet song that flows endlessly features Jenny in the lead over all these Hip Hop mogules, it really shows how far she has come and as well "I Got U" which is fierce and tender. Finally I have to say that my favorite song on this album, maybe my favorite Jenny song ever is "I, Love". It's a Masterpiece as this whole album is. However, "I, Love" really stands out to me.

This is highly recommended and I suggest you get it soon since it seems that it's production has been halted by the manufacturer.

This is not a bad album give J.Lo a chance! 5 Star Review
2009-01-22 - I have seen many reviews that disliked this album, and other albums that Jennifer has done. Sure this isn't her greatest album of all time but it's good in it's own way. The Three Tracks That stood out for me on this whole album were Get right,(Can't believe) This Is Me and Cherry Pie. I don't see why mostly everyone has given this album negative reviews. Saying that she should stick to acting, dancing, etc. I think she should do singing as well, she does a good job at it. The songs may not be as catchy as If you had my love, play, etc. But This album deserves better treatment, then what it has been getting.

Really Fun! 5 Star Review
2008-08-08 - This is my first album I've ever listened to by J.Lo and I really like it. I am amazed at the amount of bad reviews people gave for this album, but I'm not a veteran J.Lo fan.

"Rebirth" is fun, funky, and gets me dancing. Some of the songs are kind of hokey. They're the type of songs I would expect to find on an Ace of Base album. No disrespect to Ace of Base because I like them too, but the lyrics get pretty cheesy sometimes. They are the type of songs you memorize and sing along to in the car.

In any event, if you haven't listened an album by J.Lo before, you'll enjoy this one very much. It's a nice blend of what you would expect, like dance songs, coupled with really nice r & b slow songs.

After "J.Lo", everything went downhill 2 Star Review
2008-06-10 - I like Jennifer Lopez, but her albums keep getting worse & worse!! "Rebrith" is another piece of garbage.

Get Right: Usher, your song is missing

Step Into My World: Nothing Special

Hold You Down: Cute. Nothing more than 'cute'

Whatever You Wanna Do: "Get Right" part 2

Cherry Pie: Sounds like a Whitesnake song

I Got U: Her voice sounds really bad

Still Around: Nothing Special

Ryde Or Die: Where's DMX? lol

I,Love: "Hold You Down" part 2

He'll Be Back: Best song on the album

(Can't Believe)This Is Me: Can't pull of angry

Get Right: Okay remix

"Brave" is worse than this!!
