Description of Honey (Full Screen Edition):
Jessica Alba swivels and pops her way to the top (or at least into Missy Elliot's heart) in hip-hop dance flick Honey. Honey Daniels (Alba, Dark Angel) dances in nightclubs; when she accidentally gets videotaped, a hip-hop video director spots her unique talent and hires her first as a dancer, then as a choreographer. But when he wants her body as much as her talent, how will she sustain her career? And how will this affect her dream of creating a dance studio for the local street kids? Honey is the usual Hollywood silliness, executed with sincerity but not much imagination. For some reason, Alba's sexy gyrations are supposed to be more empowering than other dancers' sexy gyrations, while being no less titillating. Featuring Mekhi Phifer, David Moscow, and cameos by hip-hop stars like Missy Elliot and Ginuwine. --Bret Fetzer
Honey (Full Screen Edition) Reviews:
Absolute trash
2009-10-10 - This movie is so bad, I don't even really want to write a review about it. Take every dancing movie cliche, music video technique, and Jessica Alba, roll it up into a sickingly sweet 90 minute story and you get Honey which, despite its name, really stinks. Unless you are a big Jessica Alba fan, like Coyote Ugly, this movie is just way to lame once you get past the hot young female lead trying to make her way in life. I will repeat this over and over, little kids 99% of the time just ruin a movie. This holds true, with a annoying little kid that is suppose provide the cuteness, but I would prefer to see dribbled like a basketball and shot out of the movie. About the only kid I've seen in a movie that didn't annoy me was the little girl in Aliens. People need to stop putting little kids in movies! They are not cute! They are annoying!

2009-01-31 - This is good movie if you like Hip-Hop & all that goes with it. It shows the struggle to acheive your goals & help to keep kids off the streets in rough eares.
