    Blonde Ambition Reviews:
Loved it, Cute Girl Movie! 5 Star Review
2008-03-18 - I loved this movie. It had some funny parts and it was romantic. This is the perfect girl movie. You can see it while having a girls night.

Jessica can act! 5 Star Review
2008-03-15 - Wow this is the best movie Jessica has made! And I thought that Jessica should stick to singing, but I was wrong! Jessica really shows talent in this movie. A really fun movie!

For Die-Hard Simpson Fans ONLY! 1 Star Review
2008-02-13 - I thought critics were just picking on Jessica Simpson when "Blonde Ambition" was universally panned, but after (barely) sitting through this turkey, I conceded, and have to say this is one of the dumbest films I've watched since "Dude, Where's My Car?"

While Simpson's performance is cringe-worthy, the blame isn't entirely her's. The script, by John Cohen, Matthew Flanagan, and David McHugh, tries to combine elements of "Working Girl" and "The Dukes of Hazard", with all the finesse of a bull in a china shop. 'Clever' touches, like using Groucho Marx character names as clients, having co-star Rachael Leigh Cook ("Josie and the Pussycats") audition for a non-musical version of "Cats", and tossing in a cameo by Penny Marshall (complete with a reference to Milwaukee, the setting of "Laverne and Shirley) are dumb, rather than funny. Add to this Scott Marshall's ham-handed direction, and you have all the elements for a train wreck of a film.

The sad thing is, some wonderful talent is wasted. Larry Miller manages to make the most out of a poorly-written role as Simpson's boss, but Luke Wilson and Penelope Ann Miller (who both deserve better) are reduced to grinning and mugging, as the 'true love' and 'villain'. Willie Nelson and Drew Fuller are little more than window dressing; only Andy Dick seems a perfect 'fit', as idiotic as the plot, itself!

As for Jessica...if "Blonde Ambition" is any indication, she'd better stick to singing!

    Cute Movie 5 Star Review
2008-02-07 - It is a sweet little story. Jessica Simpsons acting has improved in this one. Of course there are some attacking her, being extra hard on her acting. Honestly, from her days in daisy dukes to now there has been much improvement. It is a nice romantic comedy. It is good for all ages I would say.

    Good movie overall!

100% Chick flick - but entertaining 5 Star Review
2008-01-28 - After all the blood and gore movies or the animated productions out there it was so much fun to be able to sit and watch a movie and just laugh. This show is entertaining and though the story is not the greatest and it is a been there, done that plot - the cast is funny and entertaining. Jessica Simpson has learned a lot in the few movies she has done and she is improving with each one. At this point in time some of your "big" stars are experiencing HUGE FLOPS. I purchased this DVD after watching a friends because I wanted it in my DVD collection. Everyone should remember that many "big" stars were in "flops" when they first started and we never had DVD's for their films to go to. You can only learn by experience as Jessica Simpson seems to be doing. If you want something just funny and entertaining buy this DVD and have a girls night.
