The Jimi Hendrix Concerts Reviews:
Best Hendrix live collection period..
2009-12-01 - Obviously it's just an opinion but I think this album has the best collection of Jimi live I've ever heard. Little Wing is sublime, Bleeding Heart and Red House are absolute blues clinics, and Hear My Train a' Comin is hauntingly deep. Should be in any Hendrix fans collection.
Controlled fire
2009-11-29 - Although it may not have all the solo fire one could crave from the ultimate live Hendrix concert, this is a surprisingly concise capsule of the guitar god at his tragically short professional performance peak, offering up several compulsively compelling versions of classics that could stand next to any other officially live releases.
2scoops
2009-05-24 - The red house on this album may be the best hendrix you can find, and it is one of his final shows. AMAZING!!!
The Jimi Hendrix Concerts
2008-12-05 - This was the first "real" full Hendrix album that I received as a gift for my birthday on vinyl when it came out. Although I was really young when Jimi passed away, I could almost picture myself in the audience at Bill Graham's Winterland, or the San Diego Sports Arena, or the other venues where Jimi was recorded. I know that a lot of "critics" have said that this was a "poor attempt at creating a Jimi Hendrix concert listening experience with the canned audience and all.." but that is a load. Even for the casual fan, this is some of Jimi's best recorded live music. Listen to the in between song rap and you are transported back to 1969. The police radio coming through on Hey Joe and Jimi's feedback make this MY favorite version recorded at Berkley, the second set of the night. I just wish that they had filmed THIS set! Also, Little Wing sounds INCREDIBLE! In my opinion, this is a 10+ on the rating scale. You cannot go wrong with this. I paid a rather large sum for this release on CD as my vinyl album that I still have has some pops and other blemishes. This way, I have the flawless CD version too.

THE BEST LIVE HENDRIX ALBUM
2008-02-24 - You will never hear another album like this. Get a copy while you can.
I don't live today, Red house you can hear the Buddy Guy Influence, Stone Free faster paced version, Little Wing, Bleeding Heart, Hear my train a comin and Voodoo chile slight return are the best live versions ever heard. I bought this album when it first came out and wore it out, I have the CD now and am hoe that one day the Hendrix estate will release this gem again
