Meet Me in Margaritaville: The Ultimate Collection Reviews:
Good overview of Buffetts Music
2009-10-02 -
This is a good overview of Jimmy's music for the casual fan. all of the big hits as well as the minor ones are here. For the Parrot Head there is nothing here that we don't already have. Ok, if you are looking for a travel CD. But if you already have all these songs make your own.
Jimmy Fans
2009-01-12 - We sail, so of course we love Jimmy Buffett. My husband plays the guitar and ukelele and really wanted this collection of music. The songs are great!
cover failure
2008-02-11 - the lyrics in this book are the same as what you hear on the album, which is what i want since there are a few changes from the originals.the only complaint i have is the physical condition of the book.the cover fell off as soon as i tookit out of the package and the binding glue feels and looks fragile.
"Ultimate" is a perfect description.
2007-08-23 - A great songbook of great Jimmy Buffett songs. It has every song on the album, including the songs Jimmy did not write (Brown Eyed Girl; Everybody's Talkin'. I'd been looking for the sheet music of Everybody's Talkin' for awhile, and when I saw it was included, I bought it). Many similar songbooks of albums are not as complete as this one.
The format is chord names and guitar chord diagrams on top, then a treble clef and bass clef for piano, and lyrics. Many of the songs have tempo notes. For guitarists, there is no tab if it's what you're looking for. As a guitarist, I'll get over it, but I wish Amazon's "see inside this book" feature would show at least one page of the actual sheet music, so a buyer has a better idea of what they're buying.
Margaritaville Revisited
2006-03-10 - This is a fine book. Many of the somgs can be found in other places, but not all. The transcription is done well. If you are a Parrot Head and have a guitar, keyboard, or piano, you need this book. Well worth the money
