Average Buffett Album 
2006-11-07 - By 1976 Buffett had developed a solid cult following, but had still to really hit the big time. That would come with his next album "Changes In Latitudes", but on "Havana" he had yet to jump on the platinum bullet train. Buffett's backing unit The Coral Reefer Band was fully realized by this album, and the main players would remain with Buffett for years to come, some to this day. The album is again a mix of originals and covers with songs by Steve Goodman ("This Hotel Room"), Jesse Winchester ("Defying Gravity"), Fingers Taylor ("Big Rig"). I don't think that this album stands up to either the previous one "A1A" or the next one "Changes In Latitudes", but it does have it's moments. "My Head Hurts, My Feet Stink, And I Don't Love Jesus" was a clever novelty song with the very young Oak Ridge Boys providing backing vocals. The title track "Havana Daydreaming" is classic buffet. "Kick It In Second Wind" is an autobiographical rocker that tells the story of the band. For some reason he also re-records "The Captain And The Kid" which was originally on the "Down To Earth Album". The new version is pretty much the same as the old one. This album was recorded at the height of Buffett's partying days and there are several references to various drugs and alcohol found on the disc. I rate this as an average disc in the overall Buffett catalogue.

2006-04-01 - This album is great stuff. It really has a unique sound that separates itself from alot of his work in the 1970's. You can close your eyes and transport yourself to the shores and climate of Key West once you put this on for a spin. The album contains some of Jimmys best writing along with alot of clever humor in the tracks. This is one of Jimmys best albums by far and a definite must for any fan.

2006-02-27 - I have been looking for a particular song by Jimmy Buffett and I was able to search Amazon and find this CD with the song I wanted. It was very easy and the CD has some of his best songs on it.
Important stuff is here, but not his best album 
2006-02-01 - Of course this is a great album. Who doesn't have their own "Captain" in their life? I play the Captain and the Kid whenever I feel maudlin. It touches a chord very deep within.
Great Artwork, OK Album
2005-10-01 - The artwork on the album cover is was drew me to this album. While it is not as strong as some of Jimmy's earlier stuff, you are sure to find your own favorites off this album. My personal favorite, besides the title track, is "This Hotel Room." It will have you gasping for breath from laughing.
