Soundtrack to a good shakedown 
2008-02-20 - Excellent compilation of oldies from the 50s and 60s and that appeared in DeNiro's directorial debut, A Bronx Tale.
DeNiro, who worked so many times with Scorsese, likes to play scenes with a complete song to compliment the action or the drama. And he knows that to stage a good beating, you need an oldie hit in the background. And he likes to lay it on, too, perhaps not learning the restraint Scorsese had. Amazingly, DeNiro does not play a gangster in the film, so there actually is restraint.
When I'm beating someone down, stomping on their face and smashing a chair over their head, I always have this album on. It doesn't really matter where you start it from, or what era you want, or what genre, everything works.
Beautiful Sounds of the Era
2007-11-03 - This CD is a fantastic sample of the "Do-Op" era. Cool Change's opening song, "Streets of the Bronx" set the tone for the movie. Some wonderful groups started "on the streets of the Bronx". "Dion and the Belmonts". (Belmont Avenue), the "Demensions", (not on this CD), and others.
The Flamingos, "I only have eyes for you" bring back a flood of memories of the "make-out" days gone by...
A Bronx Tale
2007-03-08 - A Bronx Tale is one of my favorite movies. I was able to purchase it from Amazon at a very reasonable price. I received the dvd sooner than anticipated, and the quality of the dvd was wonderful. I will definitly purchase future products from Amazon, and I highly recommend Amazon to anyone who is looking for reasonable prices and quality purchases.

2005-08-17 - If you're the type of person that is into mob movies, then this is one of the best picks. I've never seen a mobster movie so great from start to end. With an end so touching and bittersweet, this is absolutley a masterpiece. YOU MUST SEE THIS TO BELIEVE IT!!
