Editorial Review:
2003 Digitally Remastered Reissue of One of Ennio Morricone's Most Stirring and Most Beloved Soundtrack Compositions. While it was Technically Released in the USA in the 1980's, Supplies of the Disc were Quite Scarce, Prompting Collectors to Value it as Something Rare. It also Introduced the Sound of Gheorghe Zamfir's Panflute to the Rest of the World, Creating an Entire New Audience for his Career. This Edition is Plentiful and Includes Four Tracks Not on the Original.
Once Upon a Time in America Reviews:
Explicit sex and violence
2008-10-11 - This movie was totally different from what we expected.
Much explicit violence and sex. Parents be ware.
I did enjoy the historic nature of the movie.
The cars and advertising, politics of the time.
Absolutely Beautiful
2008-06-19 - I listen to this CD almost every night, and especially when I have a problem going to sleep. Love and Friendship, Amapoula and Cockeye's Song are some of my favorites. Morricone wrote this music years before Leone came up with the story, yet the film and the music fit together perfectly.
Once Upon a Time in Movieland
2008-05-19 - One of my favorite movies. The full length version of this movie is the only good version, and it is one of the best movies ever produced. The music is haunting, the acting is splenldiferous and the story is fascinating. Robert Deniro's greatest perfomance.
Classic Morricone
2008-05-08 - Why Ennio Morricone's brilliant score for "Once Upon a Time in America" never received an Academy Award (let alone an Oscar nomination) remains a mystery. Haunting and unforgettable, the 1984 soundtrack is the crown jewel of the Morricone catalog. After years of expensive imports, it's nice to find this remastered CD at an affordable price.
Splendid
2008-04-18 - This is one of the few movie's soundtracks that one has to always have at hand. If you don't have this CD, buy it now.
