  • Editorial Review:
This cute, 1989 comedy directed by Amy Heckerling (Fast Times at Ridgemont High) helped keep John Travolta busy during some fallow years and extended America's then-love affair with Bruce Willis, whose voice is the only part of him that appears. Kirstie Alley costars as an unwed mother in search of a suitable man to become her baby's father. Travolta is a cab driver who doesn't match her ideal, but he gets involved anyway. Half the fun comes from Willis's risible reading of the newborn's thoughts. The film was followed by two lesser sequels, Look Who's Talking Too and Look Who's Talking Now. --Tom Keogh

Look Who's Talking [Region 2] Reviews:
The Return of Travolta!!! 4 Star Review
2008-10-17 - Most people give PULP FICTION the title of John Travolta's comeback. During the early to mid 80's, John Travolta was less than an A-List celebrity. The movie LOOK WHO'S TALKING was his comeback to the spotlight. This movie catapulted him back to bigger and better things. He went on to do blockbuster films like PULP FICTION, GET SHORTY, BE COOL, among others.

About the movie, it spawned 2 sequels that were great also. And Bruce Willis's delivery was flawless. I can't imagine Mikey sounding any other way. The opening scene of the movie, along with the music, sets the tone for the rest of this raucous comedy. I loved it then and I love it now. Contemporary comedy classic in my opinion.

Awesome movie, limited format. 3 Star Review
2008-09-13 - My 3-star ranking would have been higher if the movie FORMAT were better... the movie itself is one of my all-time favorites. Travolta and Alley have excellent chemistry on the screen and Willis' commentary through little Mikey is hilarious. The MOVIE gets five stars. This PRODUCT, however, does not because it is FULL SCREEN. Instead of this more recent incarnation, try to get the original DVD release which is double-sided, with Widescreen on one side and Full Screen on the other.

    Enjoyable. 5 Star Review
2008-07-25 - Look Who's Talking starring Kirstie Alley and John Travolta is a childhood favorite of mine and still is! The two stars have incredible and unexpected chemistry together. Olympia Dukakis and George Segal also star. Bruce Willis is the voice of the talking baby, he does a great job who would have guessed? You gotta see this feel-good comedy, enjoy!

Really should be Zero stars 1 Star Review
2007-12-09 - This movie fails on every account when it comes to traditional family values, and to me what was supposed to be comical was just plain silly and stupid. The whole movie revolves around a baby produced by a man's adulterous affair with an unmarried woman, and the resulting baby's attempts to find a father. Don't waste your time on this one. Haven't they heard of sanctity of marriage?

"Look Who's Talking." Not For This Family 1 Star Review
2007-09-01 - If you're looking for a movie about a baby who talks, then this movie is for you. "Look Who's Talking" is a very bad movie to view, not to mention Mikey, (voiced by Bruce Willis), who is an annoying character. I felt like I wanted to smack the mother, also, there is a fight in the movie between John Travolta and Mikey's real father. Horrible.
This movie is an insult to a family. Somebody needs to fry for this one.
