Two Of A Kind 2008-10-04 - I LOVE THIS MOVIE. I am such a Olivia Newton-John fan. I think this movie is great.
Sweetiststyle movie 2008-07-27 - While a little corny and not a top rated movie. Still John and Olivia team up again to give you a feel good love story with an Oh God type of flair. While many would probably say not Oscar material not all movies HAVE to be to be good.
If you like love stories and John and Olivia then this movie is for you.
Good movie! 2008-07-25 - I have loved this movie since it first came out and I absolutely love when John and Olivia work together. They have great chemistry together. This movie is a typical struggle between good and evil but with comedy and romance running through it. I definitely agree with a statement from another reviewer who said "The plot-thread with the goofy angels (and Gene Hackman as the voice of God) gets tiresome, the special effects are over-used, and the location at the film's climax is clearly a studio backlot, but there are some big laughs", however, since I've seen it so many times, I just fast forward through those parts now. John and Olivia both look really great in this movie, as if either could ever look bad. The music is also really fantastic. I could watch this movie, and have, again and again. If you are a John and/or Olivia fan, you will like this movie.
Utter nonsense 2008-04-07 - In Grease, John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John were great together. They had terrific chemistry and the film just worked with them in it. Five years after this, they decided to team up again, for this disaster of a movie, which should never have been made.
Thankfully, they still have their chemistry together, that they had in Grease. But the rest of the movie was diabolical. It was only 83 minutes long, and I gave up after 50 minutes of constant clock watching.
There's virtually no plot, or no understandable plot. He's an unsuccessful inventor, who owes a lot of money to a loan shark, who looks a bit like Harvey Keitel. He robs a bank, she's the teller he goes to, she gives him a bag full of paper, but no money. She keeps the money, gets fired, and blows nearly all of it. They meet up again after some stupid fast forwarding and rewinding (don't ask) and it gradually descends into them getting too friendly. Er, hello what did I miss? Wasn't she supposed to hate him? Didn't she scream when she saw him again? Good grief. There's some unfunny scenes with God, and a bunch of angels, trying to right all the wrong in the world (one of whom is Scatman Crowthers, also in The Shining), which made the movie descend into more silliness. I gave up when they started fast forwarding/rewinding/freezing time.
Two Of A Kind was a shocking waste of money, and a shocking waste of my time. Stay well away, and just keep watching Grease.
