Every artist relishes the opportunity to record an album made up entirely of songs that they've loved listening to over the years. Johnny Cash, whose own songs probably land on plenty of other folks' wish list, is no exception--and this charming holiday set sees him treat his favorites with reverence even as he adds his own stamp. There are plenty of venerable carols here, but Cash really hits home on the less-aired ones (like "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day"), as well as more personal songs, such as "Christmas with You," a duet with wife June Carter. --David Sprague

Christmas With You 
2009-01-23 - While listening to some Christmas Carols, on a local radio station, I heard this very nice song by Johnny Cash and June Carter. It's title was "Christmas With You". Thoughts came to mind that I've just got to find and purchase the CD containing that particular song. So, I got on my PC and headed for the Amazon web site. After some searching, I found it, in fact there were several used CD's named "Personal Christmas Collection" with Johnny Cash and family. Great CD and it helped us celebrate Christmas very nicely. I rated with a number five gold star.

A family tradition
1999-12-14 - Every Christmas, before we opened presents, my dad would put on the Johnny Cash Christmas album. It just doesn't seem like Christmas to me until I hear his deep voice telling stories of how the holidays used to be. This newer album doesn't have all of my favorites, but it has quite a few. A must have for your Christmas album collection.
