VH1 Storytellers Reviews:
Love it
2009-07-07 - Love this CD, I play it all the time. It doesn't skip. It's in good condition. Thank you.
Johnny and Willie playing acoustic guitars...what can be better!
2009-01-23 - This 1998 concert rocks (even tho they play acoutic guitars).
The show is funny inbetween songs as Johnny and Willie chat back and forth and tell the story for each song. I LOVE this CD, I have tons and tons of Cash material and this album ranks in the top 5 on my list.
I wish.....I wish VH1 would relase this show un-edited on DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great music, not happy with Amazon's download service
2008-12-16 - The music is wonderful. Its a live recording and the on stage interaction between the musicians is priceless. In fact, my favorite part of the album is the inbetween songs talking. Amazon's download service promptly dropped the songs in to my iTunes in the wrong order though and now the songs do not play in orginal album order. Very frustrating.
Legends
2008-10-25 - When VH1 did their storytellers series (similar to MTV Unplugged), they had Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson just get together and play. This CD is over 10 years old, but it seems as fresh as today.
Willie and Johnny show their friendship. It seems an unplanned set with two old friends. They seem to be glib and having a good time playing their music and telling stories.
For the hour of play time this CD has, Johnny Cash is still alive and playing. This is how we should rememember Johnny and Willie..laughing and having a bood time
