Editorial Review:
After releasing Screaming for Vengeance in 1982, Judas Priest began a creative slide from which they've never recovered. However, if you're going to be remembered for something, it might as well be a record as heavy, incisive, and melodic as Screaming. The disc features the band's biggest hit, "You've Got Another Thing Coming," a sonic inferno that is as hook-laden as it is heavy. But the album also contains uncompromising turbo-blasts such as the title track and the steely "Electric Eye." Throughout, Rob Halford growls and sings in a voice that could at high volumes kill rodents and small dogs, and guitarists K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton unleash their arsenal of inspired and engaging riffs. Classic. The 2001 remastered reissue includes two bonus tracks--a previously unavailable studio extra called "Prisoner of Your Eyes" and a live take on "Devil's Child." --Jon Wiederhorn

Screaming for Vengeance Reviews:
Priest hit their stride! 5 Star Review
2009-11-30 - priest comes up with a classic metal album for the masses. They made classics before vengence, but they wern't the most popluar of albums like this one was. The best songs are the title track, riding on the wind and the devils child. Once again, great stuff from the priest!

An Essential Metal Album? 4 Star Review
2009-09-21 - I had no thoughts to buy this album until I find it on a list in which it was ranked as one of the essential metal albums of all time. That list was quite good but I cannot understand why they chose this one. This one is a great album but the albums like "Sad Wings of Destiny" and "Stained Class" are true classics. You could say that many Priest fans were happy while listening to this in 1982. It was a great improvement from "Point of Entry" which was a big disappointment for many Priest fans. I am not saying that this is a bad album at all. There's many great songs, such as "(Take These) Chains" and the title track. But still...there's two songs I don't like so much: "Fever" and "Pain And Pleasure".
Stars: Screaming for Vengeance, (Take These) Chains, You've Got Another Thing Comin'

judas priest live on the vengeance tour!!!! 4 Star Review
2009-09-06 - judas priest,s screaming for vengeance may have been one of the best albums of their carreer!!vengeance was released in 1982, 2 years after their landmark album british steel.i was lucky enough to see judas priest on the vengeance tour!they were great and one of the loudest concerts i,ve ever been to! i really like this album quite a bit. for me the stand out cuts are;the hellion/electric eye, riding on the wind, fever, youv,e got another thing comin and devil,s child.this album is an essential for a priest fan!!!

The last good Priest album... at least before Painkiller... 5 Star Review
2009-08-24 - Let's face it, SFV is the band's last good album before Painkiller arrived. Defenders of the Faith sucked, Turbo was worse, and Ram it Down was the nail in the coffin. Thank god Robby waited at least one more album before leaving... songs like "Electric Eye", "Take These Chains", "Bloodstone" and "You Got Another Thing Comin'" are some of Priest's best songs yet. The bonus tracks are a good addition and in total, this album is a must for any metal fan. I know this review is short, but words are not enough to describe how awesome this album is.

oh no you're so damn wicked 5 Star Review
2009-06-27 - by far and away PRIEST'S best album.you got another thing comin' might be the hit,but it is also the slackest song on this album. that is how good it is.
