No show captured the eccentricities of New York like the Larry David-created sitcom Seinfeld. Helping to define America's view of New Yorkers, the series gained endless fans over its nine season run. Though it wasn't the first show to assert the rudeness of Gotham's citizens, its characters are selfish to a fault--not that there's anything wrong with that. Self-obsessed comedian Jerry Seinfeld is joined in the cast by his neurotic ex-girlfriend, Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus); his chronically lazy pal, George (Jason Alexander); and Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards), who takes the sitcom cliche of the weird neighbor to impressive new heights. Despite their faults (or perhaps because of them), they're some of the most hilariously watchable characters in television history. The entire series is presented here.

EXCELENTE!!! 
2009-12-21 - Excelente! La mejor sitcom de la historia merecia una presentacion de este tipo. Los dos estuches con los 32 discos son muy comodos de usar, el libro esta impecable (con su dvd bonus) y la caja contenedora tiene un diseño muy atractivo que queda bien en cualquier lugar donde uno quiera exhibirla. Y para los que, como yo que soy de Argentina, hablamos español, toda la serie, incluidos sus extras, estan subtitulados en este idioma, lo que la hace aun mas valiosa.
Parrafo aparte: Amazon es increible. Pedi la caja con el correo standard y, al no tener sistema de trackeo, aqui en la Aduana o en el Correo local, alguno se la robo. Al reclamar, Amazon me la volvio a enviar por el mejor correo, via DHL, y llego impecable. Asi que, UNA ADVERTENCIA para los que viven en paises como este: hagan sus pedidos con el mejor correo. Mejor pagar unos dolares mas, que regalarles el Dvd a algun ladron de la Aduana o el Correo local. Me han comentado de esto ya varias veces, asi que no debo ser el unico. Dejemos de regalarles productos a los ladrones locales. Por unos pocos dolares, aseguren su producto.

The Gift of "Seinfeld"
2009-12-20 - We have always enjoyed "Seinfeld", and when my son put it on his Wishlist, and the price was so reasonable,I had to get it for him!
I expect him to lend it to me so that I can watch it too!
Our whole family can pretty much identify the storylines -- and for a show that was supposedly about "nothing", there were always three or four -- within the first few seconds of the show. So many things that happen in daily life remind us of something in a "Seinfeld" episode!
I know that we'll all enjoy this complete collection!
Masterpiece comedy, subpar DVDs 
2009-12-16 - Subpar video quality, commentary far too often uninsightful and uninteresting by the core group (Jerry, Larry David, Jason, Michael, and Julia) despite some occasional gems, and a horrendously written and executed "Notes" feature fashioned after the info nuggets made famous by VH1's "Pop-Up Video".
During one of the season 2 episodes, for instance, these pop-up "Notes" go on and on with trivia about Finland for almost a scene and a half. They appear as very plain-font text like a closed-caption or a subtitle, sometimes changing at far too slow a speed and suddenly blazing by with mounds of text in which the only way to read it is by pausing. In both instances there seems to be no need to stretch out or rush through the info as they do, making the practice utterly nonsensical.
The "Notes" often give info needed to understand "reference" jokes, as they should, e.g. when Jerry says, "He holds a grudge like Khomeini.". That's understandable and completely fine, but the notes often go into far too much unnecessary detail on the related facts, even going beyond overexplaining the joke, to jabbering on about unrelated facts on whatever reference it is, from Finland to the Kennedys.
I can't quite recommend this set unless you find it for a fraction of the retail price, especially since the show is still so ubiquitously syndicated. I will watch all the Notes just so I see everything that's in the set, but the only real benefit of having this set is having every episode at my beck and call and not having to sit through commercials. But this is one set that really NEEDS to have an improved re-release.
While it's ridiculous to complain that they might have been planning a re-release all along (more apt to complain if they aren't planning it and dragging their feet on it), it's equally reasonable to vilify them for producing such a crappy product in the interim for such a landmark, brilliant show.

2009-12-09 - I ordered Seinfeld - The Complete Series, and it looks like it's in great condition. It's wrapped up very nicely, but I'm planning to give it to my dad for Christmas, so I don't know if everything is really all good to go. But so far so good. My only complaint is that it took forever to get here. Shipping was way overpriced. It took like 5 weeks, it's a good thing I planned ahead, I was nervous that it wouldn't arrive in time.
