Wish Upon a Star Reviews: Such a great movie... and definatly came in great timing 2008-08-28 - I got this movie for my birthday... I ordered it like a week before it.. and it came the day before so I could enjoy it with my friends for my b-day.
Awesome choice and I am so glad I finally have the movie that I love so much!! I grew up on this movie watching it everytime it was on the Disney channel. It brings back so many great memories.
Thanks!
predictable; formula driven been done too many times 2008-08-27 - one of the movies that are predictable from the get go. a formula driven venyure so not an iota of creativity.
from the 'oh look at me, i am so cute...pose, turn...pose...
to the ugly ducking turned swan; swan turned ugle duckling..
a pure teenage movie...but i would not be happy if my kids liked it, i would inject them with brain stimulus to correct their apparent idiot-like shhep-following lack of selectivity as to what is worthy in life.
i would think that any actor in reflecting on this movie would want to bury it, adobe out their features and replace it with somepne elses picture that they despise and want to get even with.
is there enough money in the world for an actor to be in the slightest, be proud of their involvement...oh well, it must have made money for someone, why else would anyone want to be associated with it?
disney, creativity, hmmm doesn't go together it seems anymore...
I love, love, LOVE this movie! 2008-06-08 - So as you can tell, I'm very fond of this movie. Even now, at 19, its still one of my favorites. I'm not even sure what made me watch this movie in the first place (I love Katherine Heigl, but back in the day she wasn't a household name yet so that had no signifigance whatsoever) I just remember seeing it at the movie store one day, and I randomly decided to watch it. And I loved it so much that I rented it numerous times, until one day the manager of the store decided to just give it to me because I liked it so much, and I was the only one who ever really rented it. Lol.
The movie is about two sisters (alexia and hayley), who are complete opposites. One is pretty and popular (alexia, played by katherine heigl), dating the hot boy at school, while the other one (hayley, played by danielle harris) is kind of geeky, and the type of who gets overlooked for her more appealing sister. one night Hayley, who is envious of her sister, wishes on a star that she could be Alexia, and afterwards the two sisters swap places, and learn what its like to live in eachothers shoes. Like Freaky Friday, but even better.
Yes, this movie is kinda cheesy, but in a good way. And Katherine Heigl shines, as always!
Great Movie! 2008-05-08 - I watched this movie on the Disney Channel when I was younger and I loved it. Buying it was so worth it, such a cute film!
great movie for a bad day 2008-04-18 - i watched this movie when it came out in the 90's. Alexia and her sister Hayley are jealous of each other but neither of them know it. one night Hayley, who alexia thinks of as a nerd, is out side with her telescope doing home work, when she looks down below and sees Alexia with her boyfrien in the hot tub. alexia looks up to find her sister looking at them. at that moment hayley looks up at the sky as a shooting star goes by and she make a wish to be her sister. i love this movie.
