The gang of Mystery Inc. take a trip to Japan and find themselves circling Asia and the Pacific in a treasure hunt, racing against the vengeful Black Samurai and his Ninja warriors to find the legendary Sword of Fate, an ancient blade fabled to possess extraordinary supernatural powers

Description of Scooby-Doo and the Samurai Sword:
Are legends static pieces of folklore that explain and celebrate the past, or are they constantly evolving stories with room for new heroes? Scooby-Doo and the gang are headed to Japan where Daphne is scheduled to take part in an invitation-only martial arts tournament and the rest of the gang is looking forward to some much-earned relaxation. In Japan, technology is quickly replacing long-held traditions, but the revered martial-arts academy stands for all that is traditional. Daphne is thrust into the martial-arts competition before she even realizes it's begun, but the contest is almost immediately interrupted by the appearance of the ghost of the Black Samurai who has mysteriously sprung to life in the Tokyo Museum of Cultural History. The ghost steals the legendary sword of fate and the revered Destiny Scroll and suddenly the gang finds themselves embroiled in a mystery that will take them from Japan to an isolated, cloud-cloaked island in the South Pacific. There Velma pits her computer skills and ability to control Japan's high-tech inventions against everything from robotic ninjas to Samurai ghosts while Shaggy and Scooby learn a lot about everything from geishas to becoming Samurai warriors. Riddles, origami, a temple full of booby-traps, legendary dragons, sword fights, and the requisite chase scenes, Scooby snacks, geeky Fred moments, and Daphne fashion crises add up to a mystery bursting with danger, suspense, and lots of the unexpected. In the end, true villains are revealed and a new chapter with an unexpected hero is added to an old legend. The bonus "Scooby-Doo Dojo" provides a brief history of martial arts, including a discussion of the philosophy behind the art and some basic instruction in several safe and simple martial-arts moves. Scooby-Doo and the Samurai Sword Reviews:
Great movie for kids! 5 Star Review
2009-09-09 - My 3 year old and my 5 year old love this movie. Anything Scooby Doo is great by them! Buy this and you will probably laugh a few times with your kids. My son started Karate, this really gave him a smile when he saw Scooby and Shaggy doing karate like he does.

    Won't let you down.

    A Letdown 3 Star Review
2009-08-28 - If you've been longing for the quality of Scooby Doo on Zombie Island, keep longing, because this movie isn't it. I bought this for a long-time Scooby Doo fan and we ended up falling asleep watching it. It's not very entertaining, and it's a little bit weird to be honest with you. Shaggy and Scooby, the stars of every Scooby Doo production really seem to be written out of character, which takes away from a lot of the enjoyment.

    Cute movie 5 Star Review
2009-06-01 - This is a really cute movie done in the oldstyle cartoon feel with a modern twist. My children have watched this movie several times and enjoy it every time.

Scooby-Doo and the Samuri Sword 4 Star Review
2009-05-22 - Scooby-doo and the samuri sword is a combination of futuristic technology and olden day legends. Scooby-doo and the gang travel to Japan for Daphane's martial arts competition. But it suddenly turns into a wild mystery, with alot of laughs, thanks to Shaggy, Scooby and the rest of the gang, plus others.

It is a wonderful entertainment 5 Star Review
2009-05-12 - In the beginning they are in Japan and they are visiting one of Daphne's friends, who is at a school for martial arts. At the school they learn that there is an ancient legend about a black samurai. This is one of my favourite new Scooby-doo movies, it has a wonderful ending. Anyone who watches it won't want to fast forward through any of it.
