Stole Reviews:
Fantastic song
2006-06-27 - This is one of my favorite songs of all time. It has a terrific lyric and the melody is very catchy. It's very sad, by the way, and the video is great!
Their lives were stolen...
2003-05-25 - I love this song. When I saw the video for it, I immediately went and downloaded it. It's a sad song. It's about a guy who commits suicide, a girl named Mary who becomes a teenage mother, and a guy named Greg who is shot. It's about how their lives were "Stole(n)" because of all of these events.
A Child On Her Own
2003-05-11 - For Kelly Rowland, she had a whole lot to prove as being one-third of Destiny's Child. Nevertheless, she already proved it with her first solo record, Simply Deep. The first single of the album, Stole, is a very crafty and difficult song to really talk about. It talks about people often saying bad things about kids and ignoring them constantly, and seeing what could've happened to them if they were treated differently. When I saw the video for this song, I just shed a couple of tears for a personal reason I could relate to that song. Many people think that Beyonce Knowles was the whole package of Destiny's Child, largely because she was the lead vocalist, but when I heard Kelly on her own, it was amazing.
Move over Beyonce Kelly is the new star
2002-12-13 - This year all three members of Destinys Child have had a try at solo careers. Michelle released her gospel album HEART TO YOURS but there was no single and little promotion it was destined to fail it did however manage to reach NO 50. Beyonce starred in the hit film Austin Powers 3 but she was slated for just wearing revealing clothes and shouting a bunch of one liners. Her single WORK IT OUT failed to make an impact on the charts.
Kelly decided to try a different route by first featuring on the world wide smash Dilenma it worked well everyone was now curious for Kelly's solo attempt.
And so came STOLE an RnB number with a touch of rock thanks to Kelly's surprising love of rock music.
STOLE is a brilliant track and having some sucess in the charts. STOLE is different to every other song in the charts at the moment. It isnt about Love or partying but instead focusing on the lives of three people a bullied boy who none noticed, a failed actress and a dead basketball player.
Stole is a very sad song with a deep message. Kelly surprised me with her abilities to sing she has too long been cast to Beyonce's shawdow. Kelly is pretty, young and talented her debut album should do well despite only reaching NO12 I look forward to Kelly's next song lets just hope it is as catchy and different as STOLE was.
WOW
2002-11-08 - Stole, The first solo single out of Kelly Rowland's new cd "Simply Deep", is simply one of the best songs I have ever heard....
First of all, it tells a story, not just talks about love (like most of the songs coming out this days). It's a beautiful sad song, very difrent from most of the songs we hear lately, and Kelly just has an amazing voice...
As for the single itself: it contains 5 tracks, including the album version and the pop edit (which you can hear on the "Stole" video). The remixes are also preety good. Ofcourse not as good as the album version , but they are still good.
For conclusion: Buy it, it won't hurt you to give it a try, and trust me, you won't be disappointed...
