Editorial Review:
Actor Kiefer Sutherland makes his directorial debut with this ho-hum film about a threadbare subject: a drug heist that goes badly, resulting in the bad guys having to kidnap two people and the ensuing complications. A fine cast assures good performances all around, but it's hard to go down this narrative road for the umpteenth time in the '90s. One bonus is the presence of Kim Dickens, an interesting actress who started becoming more visible in movies in 1997 and 1998 (Zero Effect, Great Expectations). The DVD release has optional full-screen and widescreen presentations, optional French and Spanish soundtracks and subtitles, and theatrical trailer. --Tom Keogh
Truth or Consequences, N.M. [Region 2] Reviews:
Great DVD
2009-06-02 - I just love this movie. I had it on VHS and I just had to get it on DVD. Great price, super fast delivery. I will be doing business with you again. Thanks for the great transaction.
Fair price, good service
2008-07-24 - I have been looking for this DVD for a long time and was unable to find it. I am very pleased.
Fabulous Kiefer
2007-04-20 - For anyone who likes Kiefer Sutherland this movie is a must to own. I was not only impressed with his character but equally impressed with his dirceting of this film. Actually, I feel this is one the best rolls I have seen him perform.
A Good Movie With Some Great Music
2006-09-01 - Jude Cole's beautiful song Heaven's Last Attempt plays perfectly to the opening scene. Other great music by The Outlaws, Van Morrison, Vibrolush and The Allman Bros. to name a few. The movie itself doesn't always work though just to see the always great Kiefer Sutherland as "Curtis" let loose in a wild, drug-fueled dance to Foghat's Cheteau Lafitte '59 Boogie would make it worth viewing. Fortunatly Kiefer delivers more than just a dance. Though Curtis is a sociopath, you can't help but like him because of the perfectly delivered comedic moments that Kiefer gives him. Vincent Gallo, Kim Dickens and Kevin Pollak are all great as well.
i love this movie
2006-06-29 - a true love story-that i won't give away - this on is a tear jerker and keifer sutherland is a very disturbed character-must see!
