KISSology Reviews:
Great CD but DO NOT buy it here
2009-10-17 - This is a great CD of re-recorded KISS Klassics with the new line up consisiting of Gene, Paul, Eric Singer, and Tommy Thayer. But, Don't buy it here. Instead, Buy the special 3 disc set of Sonic Boom at Wal Mart. It consists of their new 2009 release, this cd of Klassics, and a DVD of 6 songs recorded off their 2008 Alive 35 tour. It only costs $12.00.
No Thanks!!!
2009-08-24 - I won't be buying this one! I won't buy it this fall when it comes out with the new studio album "Sonic Boom" either! There's such an awful stigma attatched to bands who re-record new material with replacement members. Yes things aren't quite as good as they could be in Kiss World, but we should be thankful for Paul Stanley, because if he was just a replacement like Eric Singer or Tommy Thayer, or if he wasn't in the band all together, just imagine how bad it would be.
Let's face it, Gene Simmons is a rock n roll, corporate CEO; It doesn't matter how good or bad the product is as long as you buy it.
I love KISS and I always will. They will always be the band that go me really into music. The saga of KISS and the saga of Van Halen are similar. When members left the band back in the day, you thought :"Well, they screwed up by leaving!" But as time goes by, and you watch the careers of those bands, and the way some of the remaining members act, you then realize "I would've left, too!".
Ace Frehley and Peter Criss did it right. They got back with Paul and Gene, for the fans, played out their contracts, and went on their way.
Save Your Money
2009-08-18 - Save your money. This CD is scheduled to be released as part of the new Kiss Album "SONIC BOOM" on October 6th, 2009 at Wal mart and Sam's Club. In addition to this re-recorded Greatest Hits CD and new Sonic Boom CD -- the package will also include a DVD containing several songs from the band's recent 2009 performance in Argentina. Price - $12 for the two CDs, single DVD and multi-page booklet!
kissology cg 2008 kiss album
2009-05-29 - This cd album is fantastic, coz you could hear the songs in a new kinda way, coz it is old songs that they sing once again and played very well.. And recorded it in 2008, whit the 2 new members Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer,,, They play well and have they,re own sound and style that brings this to another level, much respect to Petter Criss , Ace Frehley and Eric Carr, and so on, that also have been making these great songs in the past and of course together whit the co.founders of Kiss,Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley the 2 only kiss members that has been in kiss all the time since the beginning 36 years ago,They are the best rock group of all time, so everybody go out and buy this cd, you wanted the best you got the best the hottest band in the world KISS,,, thanks from Trond J/ FROM FEVIK-29.05.2009- NORWAY
PiSSology II
2009-05-16 - The album in question is the perfect example of why one shouldn't want the musicians they admire to be more about the money. Kissology sounds more like karaoke hour at a nursing home. Paul's vocals fall flat numerous times throughout the album, and although Gene sounds somewhat energized, the songs fail to have the same intensity the original recordings had. The biggest let down actually was 'Forever', it just really shows how bad Paul's vocals have become.
Cool cover though.
