The Meek Shall Inherit What's Left Reviews:
further down the rabbit hole...
2009-08-14 - as much as i loved the first album, this one goes deeper. dynamic, beautiful, painful stuff. recommended!
creative and energetic
2009-07-27 - Kiss Kiss is one of the best bands going in the world right now. They are a rare breed of originality and raw energy. The music is obscure without being pretentious. Most importantly, this is one of the best bands you will ever see live. I have witnessed them bring people to tears with their live performances. This is one of the rare bands going today that deserves everyone's financial support. A truly creative endeavor.
...woah
2009-07-19 - If you are a fan of "Reality vs. the Optimist," there's a chance you might not like this, but there's also a chance you might love this. I've been a fan of Kiss Kiss ever since I saw them live and got a glimpse of how energetic AND creative they are. They truly have their own sound going here.
While "Reality" has its fair share of obscurity to it, "The Meek Shall Inherit What's Left" blows it out of the water in that regard. It carries on the tradition of "Reality" in having sing-songy parts, with verses and choruses, but everything in between is 10x more abstract. This is shown mostly in songs like Plague #11, All They Draw, Hate, Through the Day, and the ever so eerie "Virus."
However, they also take on the epic sound of "Vagabond" in songs like "Innocent II" and "If They Only Knew."
I don't know what to say other than I will be listening to this over and over again. I honestly can't say that I love it yet, but there is more than enough here that entices me to wanna hear it over and over again until, inevitably, I do fall in love with this album. Really crazy, really obscure, and unlike most bands, with gaining popularity, they do NOT take a step closer to the mainstream light. Enjoy everyone!

Was psyched to hear about the album and it certainly did not disappoint
