Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 Reviews:
Great/Amazing (but if you don't like cencored don't get this)
2009-08-16 - Really good
some of their best songs
there are only one or two that they missed (greatest hits...)
But the warning
If you don't mind swearing, get the other one this one replaces
F*** with suck
and things like that....
Enjoy
The pro's out weigh the con's.
2006-02-17 - Now when say an almost complete cd, it isn't a stab at Korn, hell, I love Korn. I just didn't agree with some of the tracks that they deemed "the greatest". For instance, i liked the single shoots and ladders, but seriosly, i don't think it was Greatest Hits worthy. the only reason it was on there was because it was one of their first ever videos. They were showing respect for it. Also, how in the world can you have twist but no chi? Those 2 songs are jigsaw puzzle pieces; meant to be put together. It doesn't make any sense.
But, in the end, the cons are out weighed by the con's. Three new tracks(word up, another brick in the wall, and a remix to freak on a leash)and a bonus cd with videos will put out any doubts about this hard-hitting compilation of greatest hits. Korn fans: this is a must have. Do you hear me: A MUST HAVE!.
AWESOME!!!!
2005-08-10 - I bought this cd a few months ago and it's awsome. If you like KoRn and don't have any of their cds, buy this one first. The live performance at CBGB's was awesome! You should buy it just for that.
A metal masterpiece!
2004-12-24 - If you are just starting to like korn this is the main cd you need, everything about this cd is great. But if you have all the other cd's no point because you will only have two new songs.
Solid Compilation
2004-12-21 - Being the huge Korn fan I am (I own all their albums and two DVD's and I think they're very talented) I decided to check out their "Greatest Hits, Vol. 1" collection out. Does it live up to the hype? Read on to find out.
BTW, thanks to Der Kommissar for this writing format
PROS:
-IT HAS KORN'S BIGGEST HIT OF ALL, BLIND. If they'd put together greatest Hits album, they'd put it no here right? Well it is here!
-MOST OF THE RADIO HITS ARE HERE! You get Got the Life, Freak On A Leash, A.D.I.D.A.S., Shoots and Ladders, ALONE i bREAK, Here To Stay, Did My Time, and many others, making it ideal for the "kasual" Korn fan.
-ALMOST 80 MINUTES! Many compilations fail to even get close to the 80 minute time limit, but this retrospective almost reaches that point.
-TWO NEW SONGS, AND THEY ROCK! You gt two new covers- "Word Up!", orginally by Camoe, and "Another Brick in The Wall", originally by Pink Floyd.
-COMES WITH DVD! You get a DVD that has songs from their surprise performance at CBGB.
CONS:
-NONE OF THE ALBUMS GET EQUAL EMPHASIS. Example: TWO songs from "Untouchables" and FOUR (!) from "Issues".
-MISSING SONGS. Where are "Dead Bodies Everywhere", "Thoughtless", "Chi", "One",etc.? These are some of their biggest hits! At least it's only volume one.
-HAS TWST BUT NO CHI?!?!?!?!?! WTF?!?!?!?! Why the hell would you include Twist on a Korn hits compilation without Chi??? Twist is just incomplete without Chi...
OVERALL:
If you're a "kasual" Korn fan seeking just the big hits, this will do good. If you, like me, have been a long time Korn fan, you'll probably buy it for the DVD and two new songs.
THANK YOU FOR READING!!!
