The Hurt Inside: A String Quartet Tribute to Korn Reviews:
Think about it.
2005-12-08 - Have any of you heard the Queen of the Damned soundtrack? I can't help but hear and feel a connection with the sound from Korns music replayed in beautiful violin and those that where writen and created by Jonathan Davis for the sound track. At first listen I thought the sound on this tribute was a bit scratchy, but the more I listen to it the more I fall in love with the deepness of the violin and the talent which has always come from Davis and korn. If you love Korn and want to listen to well played music, plick this up.
The Tribute of a Lifetime
2004-11-01 - Korn has been a band I have always expected to rock out a building, or sound system in a car. But I never expected the SQT of Korn's big songs (like 'A.D.I.D.A.S.', 'Freak on a Leash', 'Thoughtless', 'Alone I Break', and many other classics) to almost surpass the original Korn songs. From the first note from 'Falling Away from Me' to 'Shoots and Ladders' last note, the music keeps you on the edge.
I suggest this as a first if you're ever interested in orchestra music.
A way to get classical fans listening to KoRn.
2004-09-03 - The "Ya Baby!" String Quartet captures the tonal qualities of all the song perfectly. Then their origanl composition "The Hurt Inside" goes on to compliment the covered material. This is the kind of idea you browse on Amazon for.
great
2004-07-06 - great. i can almost hear jon davis singing. they do a great job on all of korns songs
The best of the three tribute albums so far....
2004-01-07 - This is one of the best string tribute albums I have ever heard and by far, the best of the three Korn tribute albums (Electro-Industrial and Kloned And Remixed). This album features a near perfect re-interpretation of Korn's music which at times, if you can believe, can even be darker than the band itself. The cellos, violas, bass violins and violins compliment each other that captures all the textures and complexities of Korn. Even the vocals are presented in such a way that matches not only Jonathan Davis' singing style, but his tone and pitch as well. Highlights include "Blind", "Here To Stay" and "Shoots And Ladders". If you're hungry for more Korn and have an open mind, then "The Hurt Inside" is for you!
