Don't expect to plunk your 4-year-old in front of Hallmark's Snow White and have her come away whistling "Heigh Ho"--it's not that kind of movie. Substitute a kingdom of woeful and broody characters (the fairest-of-them-all contenders and their king, plus a green and warty undead guy) for Sleepy, Sneezy, and company, and the picture, a bleak one, becomes clearer. Call it Snow White noir, but don't call it dull. The actors, including Miranda Richardson and Tom Irwin, suck you into their saga of lust and greed by making despair their specialty, and the visuals crackle with a creepy gorgeousness. Writer-director Caroline Thompson sheared this Brothers Grimm adaptation into shape using the same jagged-edged prettiness she brought to the script for Edward Scissorhands; a similar audience--one that can handle a little less light in its darkness--should stick around for Snow White. -Tammy La Gorce

Snow White, The fairest of them all - Fun, Wonderful 4.5 
2009-10-18 - Snow White, remade, with Miranda Richardson is wonderful. The creation, animation of the characters, such as the Seven Dwarfs, is phenomenal. An enjoyable way, as an adult, to go back and relive a fairy-tale from youth.
Different kind of snow white 
2009-09-11 - This was an ok movie. It was a different little spin on snow white fairy tale.
Mirror, Mirror... 
2009-08-29 - I bought this as a gift for my 10 year old sister but we both really love watching this film. So clever, so different, so unique. It's dark, dangerous, adventurous and haunting but it's also very colourful and will leave the viewer more than satisfied with their experience. It is everything a true fairytale should be. In my experience, Hallmark films such as this are better than major blockbuster films aiming for the same thing. I am glad we discovered this film. Actually, we might even watch it again tonight.
Great for kids, familys and heck even adults such as myself. 10/10.

2009-03-02 - Excited to get this video - very happy with price and DVD. Our granddaughters have watched this movie at least 4 times already.
reviewing another version of Snow White
2008-12-29 - the dvd was like new to new condition---played well with no flaws.
This version of Snow White was very dark and had great special effects (mirror room).
