KT Tunstall - Eye to the Telescope Reviews:
Great Arrangements
2006-12-21 - I always have a hard time purchasing a sheet music collection like this. From experience I have learned that pop music that sounds wonderful on the CD with the guitars and bass and drums will often sound somewhat cheesy and very different from the original. "Eye to the Telescope" does, for the most part, have arrangements that are true the original yet sound good when played on the piano. Although some of the rockier songs, especially "Miniature Disaster," suffer from a piano-only arrangements, they are all in all pretty good. I would definitely recommend this sheet music collection to any who love Tunstall's music and love to play the piano. I would say the difficulty is about intermediate. Also, I wish the binding could have been a little looser. It is nearly impossible to get the book to stay open, which can be a little frustrating when I'm trying to play. I have considered carefully removing the pages from the binding and getting it put into a spiral binding.
Music: 5.0
Arrangements: 4.5
Physical attributes of book: 3.0 (for the extremely tight binding)
Difficulty: 5.0 (Difficult enough to be a little challenging but not so hard that no one can play it)
Total score: 17.5/20.0
THE BEST!!!
2006-07-26 - I found out about KT in a magazine I read, GL (Girls Life). So I went on to iTunes and plugged in her name. I listened to it and I loved it!!! I now own it. I can NEVER get tired of this CD. I hope she makes another one!!!
