Body Language Reviews:
Gr8 Kylie album, another incarnation of musical royalty/genius 5 Star Review
2007-05-10 - Ah, the infamous Japanese-import of Body Language! How many opinions have I read!? Well, I enjoyed BL, as it has a mellow-er sound, but some dancey tracks. If one truly understands the chameleon-esque Kylie, one realizes this is the further growth of an artiste. Well, I'm here to review the two rare tracks, You Make Me Feel and Slo Motion. I downloaded YMMF on iTunes, and Slo Motion on Kylie's official site. They each fit well w/ the feel of the album, so I don't understand why they weren't included on the widely released version, except Japan, though YMMF was released in the States with Cruise Control.

Wait For The Domestic Issue... 2 Star Review
2004-01-25 - Like many other reviewers have already stated, this latest Kylie release requires repeated listening before either like or dislike click with you. For this reviewer it indeed took a couple of spins before my curious dislike was confirmed. Curious dislike? Curious because after releasing two artistically individual winners for EMI I wonder why Minogue would sacrifice her immensely appealing musical persona for such faceless and prosaic hack. In all fairness, this record does get off to a good start. For the first tracks ("Slow", the sets first single included) her machined funk really works. This is what Prince would sound like had he been freeze-dried after Dirty Mind and thawed in 2004. In fact, you can almost imagine his falsetto singing along here. But after the first ten minutes are played, disaster ensues as Kylie really struggles to sound like herself against the quasi hip-hop and R&B backdrops that just engulf her in pointless annonimity. Instead of sounding like the savvy, futuristic (and personably plastic) barbie doll who, under that clever guise, was smart enough to forge her way back from nostsalgia into her very own irristable uniqueness, she just sounds ridiculously chirpy. Who knew that as she was inviting us to "Come Into My World" she'd be stepping out? Understandably, Minogue wanted to further penetrate the American market; and after her club oriented follow-up singles ("Love At First Sight" & "Come Into My World") to her US break-thru failed to create the same interest, a perhaps more American radio sound was desired, something that might put her on the same playlists as Ashati, Beyonce, and Nelly. But Body Language clearly makes obvious that neglecting to place her own stamp on such a usually cliched, alsoran type of music was the big misstep here. Anybody could have sang these songs and anybody would be forgotten about the day after they had. Kylie, you had a superb thing going on, what happened? To her fans who might be swayed by the Japanese exclusive tracks, don't bother. "You Make Me Feel" is a b-side for "Slow" and "Slo Motion" is ultimately forgettable. Both sound like experiments with results that even their creators weren't pleased with, but schrewdly offered up for completists. American fans, quell your anticipation and save the money. Wait for the domestic issue if you're planning to expand your Kylie library.

READ HER BODY LANGUAGE....AWESOME ALBUM!!! 5 Star Review
2004-01-07 - I am a huge Kylie fan and for the people who gave this album poor reviews, YOU DON'T KNOW GOOD MUSIC WHEN YOU HEAR IT!!! This album is far better than "Fever" 2001, and "Light Years" 2000.
The music is fresh and danceable and the lyrics show that Ms. Minogue is no longer a product of icky production people who tried to hold back her fabulous talents with their drab songs, i.e. 1991's "Let's Get To It", should I say more. I am so happy that Kylie is on a label that believe's in her and has given her the respect that she deserves. Track Listing for this Japanese Import is as follows: 01: Slow..Outstanding track, great as first single, 02: Still Standing..Great song, makes you wanna move, 03: Secret(Take You Home)..Another album highlight, 04: Promises..Should be released as a single, 05: Sweet Music..Should be released as another single, great beats, 06: Red Blooded Woman..Talking about what a woman needs!, 07: Chocolate..Another single idea, great song!!, 08: Obsession: Another song that kick's ass!, 09: I Feel For You..A different kind of sound, likeable, 10: Someday..Nice slow jam, 11: Loving Days..Great sound and lyrics! 12: After Dark..Reminds me of Olivia Newton-John, very good!!. Two extra tracks, 13: You Make Me Feel..Great song and should be released in the states, 14: Slow Motion..Released in Australia but not here in the states, another great song that ends this fantastic album.

Greatest Album ever!!!! 5 Star Review
2003-11-30 - All I can say is this... Kylie changed completely (again) and made an R&B album. And it's not a sucky R&B, it's pure Aaliyah!!! The album starts with Slow, and goes to Still Standing, something really different (like Motown), Secret, Promisses and SweetMusic. Then it's RedBloodedWoman (which maybe will make the album "Advertised" for parents) and Chocolate (like Erotica, but sweet), and then the album ends romantic... The best is Slo Motion. Surprised? Yeah, that's the new Kylie (for now)!
