2009-07-09 - I refuse to bore those who may read and re-read the same raves, rants, comparisons and disappointments.
What I will say is that, being a Kylie fan since working as a dj from the late 80's, i was blown away by her energy, and down-right clever way to 'mix up' the arrangements on many familiar tracks i was so used to 'plugging' in the nightclubs.
Living in the USA, I never had an opportunity to see her 'live'. Seems she plays in areas not close to me if she does tour in the USA. Also, having recovered from illness, am glad she is still creating 'important' music, and not just dance music. Kylie is one of those performers who gives us our money's worth, be it on vinyl, or in-person.
This 'live' set is no less than fascinating. She does sing some familiar songs that I knew, but i can tell that she strives to be heard as an 'artist', and she convinced me that she handle any type of material, and make it sound fresh.
At first I didn't have any expectations other than that this would be just another 'live' cd by someone I casually collect. This set convinced me that Kylie is not just a flash in the pan who makes a series of 'comebacks', but a true artist who has more talent than the USA gives her credit.

2006-05-16 - This CD is different from other CD's in that it is taped from a live show. I have yet to find the DVD (if there is one) that is the concert of this CD. She is unbelieveable. You hear the audience cheering. You hear her introducing songs and saying "thank you" to the crowd. However, that is not even my favorite part. Ever had an artist you love sing a song you love, and you listen to the chorus and the chorus fades out? Well, on this CD, there is no fading out. You hear the entire song for each and every one. Plus, some songs are different than how they are originally done ("Confide In Me" is a perfect example; she sings it differently here than on her original CD). So, if you are a fan of Kylie Minogue in any way, trust me, this CD is worth the money. It is 2 CD's. Hear is the track listing:

The one live cd you have to have
2005-07-03 - This is Kylie's first live cd and it is fantastic. Her voice is so strong and every song is worth listening to, there are no songs that should be skipped here. I love every song off of it but here are some stand-out tracks-
Too far, Put yourself in my place, Take me with you, I should be so lucky, Dancing Queen, Cowboy style, Free, Drunk, Shocked, Locomotion, Should I stay or should I go?, and Better the Devil you know. If you can find the DVD of this, snatch it up because it's great.
Kylie's voice sounds better live
2005-03-30 - This Kylie Live album is very good. It is wonderful to hear beautiful classics such as I Should Be So Lucky, The Loco Motion, Did It Again, Breathe, Too Far, Better The Devil You Know and more. She also pulls off great versions of Abba and Clash classics Dancing Queen, very fun to dance to and Should I Stay Or Should I Go?, the classic rock Kylie that had been totally unexpected from her fans. Buy it now! It is one of the best live CD's out there today! If you can, grab hold of the DVD aswell! That is also a great buy and the behind the scenes tour footage and the interactive menus are a nice touch!
