Slow, Pt. 2 Reviews:
B-side 3 Star Review
2007-01-24 - I bought this single for the rare track, "Soul on Fire," and wasn't disappointed. Its a decent, slower track, but it definitely fits the Body Language album. Another reviewer compared "Soul on Fire" to Madonna's "American Life," which is an unfair comparison. I find them quite different! The remixes of "Slow" are...ultimately forgettable.

I AM SO ANGRY!!! 5 Star Review
2006-02-19 - I'm really mad that Slow, Pt 2 is not available for order in ANY Borders store. The only place you can buy it is online, but I can't get it without having to sign up on the website. ARRGH! Oh, well. Maybe, if I'm lucky, I'll find it somewhere. Here is a track listing and rating of each:
1. Album Version (3:14) 10/10
2. Soul on Fire (3:34) 8/10
3. Radio Slave Remix (10:27) 10/10
4. Synth City Remix (5:49) 9/10

PS: There are 2 extended mixes available somewhere. I have one (I got it through a friend). I can't seem to find the other...keep your eyes peeled.

Underrated CD Single 4 Star Review
2004-04-02 - "Skip a beat and move with my body, yeah, slow" ..... "Read my .... body language" .... "Take it down, down"

Many fans were disappointed when Slow was released as the first single off Kylie's latest studio album, Body Language, because it wasn't exactly upbeat like the international phenominom Can't Get You Out of My Head. In other words, the "Fever" Kylie had toned down her sound. But Slow just happens to be one of the sexiest dance songs ever recorded. Just listen to those lyrics and Kylie's voice. The result .... one helluva catchy song. For those who aren't exactly mesmorized the first time, a few more listens will get you hooked.

01. Slow - The first single. Although it's nothing like Can't Get You Out of My Head, this song is still sexy and very catchy...and the video is even more sexy. You gotta watch it.

02. Soul On Fire (Non-Album Track) - This is a bonus track not featured on Body Language. This song is toned down and sounds something like Madonna's song "American Life". It's a pretty good B-Side.

03. Slow (Radio Slave Mix) - A great mix of Slow that'll fill the dance floor. An example of how much a mix of a song can really spice it up. This mix is 10 minutes long.

04. Slow (Synth City Remix) - The better remix. Really catchy! Very 80s sounding. Half the length of the Radio Slave Mix, this remix doesn't come out with disappointing results. If the Radio Slave Mix doesn't get you on the dance floor, this one will!

So, all in all, a decent single. Two different mixes of the song Slow, the song Slow itself, and a bonus song not featured on any release of Body Language. A pretty nice package deal.

Slow is sexy and Slow is catchy. Kylie's just getting hotter with each song that she releases...

"Skip a beat and move with my body, yeah, slow... Come on and dance with my, yeah, slow..."

5 F***ING STARS!! 5 Star Review
2004-02-21 - This is definitely one of Kylie's best-ever singles. The synth-line is infinitely catchy, and the way Ms. Minogue coos the almost non-chorus is breathtaking. This is one delicious slice of some of the most innovative pop music being made today. Buy this before you buy the album (it doesn't quite match the brilliance of this song).

Kylie Comes Up Aces Again 4 Star Review
2003-11-21 - Fans of "Spinning Around" and "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" may indeed be scratching their heads at Kylie Minogue's choice as first single from the just internationally-released BODY LANGUAGE. Granted, it lacks the disco pinings of her last two masterpieces(LIGHT YEARS and FEVER), but I have to say the slinky, sinewous "Slow" worked its' way into my brain much faster than "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" did. The two remixes here are of a piece, with the longer Radio Slave Mix being the better of the two. As for the non-album track "Soul On Fire", it's an acoustic-framed track that would not sound out of place on Madonna's recent AMERICAN LIFE cd--you be the judge on whether that's good or bad. Ultimately, the Aussie pop siren has again managed to unleash greatness, giving solid hope that BODY LANGUAGE will be yet another gem in Minogue's considerable catalog.
