X (2008 Australian Tour Edition) (Incl. Bonus Remix CD) Reviews:
Xtraordinary
2009-06-09 - This is a review that should have been written during the time of this album's release. But, like they say better late than never. Kylie's latest collection of electro-pop tunes has been a sure delight for any of her fans out there. Despite not making a big splash here in the US since her Fever album, her fan base has remained loyal to her every effort to keep the pop music scene alive.
With her upcoming US Tour set to begin this Summer. Her fans will have the pleasure of watching her belt out those hits from the late 80s to the present. I, for one, am looking forward to being WOWed by the international Queen of Pop.
What else can i say ?
2009-02-21 - Like most of the singers out there, the release of the re-packaged seems like a routine of the music industries nowadays.
I am a hardcore fan, and i bought Kylie, Maroon 5, James Blunt, Rihanna, Beyonce, Fergie, Mariah, blah blah...their cd at the first week of release, but you know what, the a**hole records company release the so called "DELUXE EDITION", "TOUR EDITION" and "RELOADED" or something...with extra tracks, remixed cd or DVD....what ever...so do you think you wanna spend another ten or twenty bucks to buy the new one ? Yes i did and you can call me stupid. But what am i supposed to do with the original cd ?
OK...the reason why i bought this is due to the remixed cd, they are good, they are excellent, and check out track number 3, the Freemasons vocal club mix which spin over 9 minutes, the tracks selection of this remixed cd is even much better than another new release of remixes from Kylie called Boombox.
I won't say it is a must for all hardcore kylie fans, but you know what, it is all depends on you, and i think it's worth, so i bought it. Check out another asian release, also a re-packaged but with different track lists and bonus DVD. See how smart the record company try to grab our hard earn money.
Without the remixes, the standard edition only deserved a 2 stars, and for kylie, you always have a 5 stars from all your fans, but the records company, the producer, the wardrobe adviser, the song writter, you guys sucks, you guys reserved not even a single star.
X - a must have
2009-01-31 - If you don't have the remixes, this is a fantastic buy for you.
I love the remixes, check out THE ONE (vocal club mix), IN MY ARMS (chris lake vocal mix) and THE ONE (freemasons vocal club mix). A good buy indeed. I love the Cover! This is Aussie imported.
Great, but not perfect.
2009-01-19 - Great package, but could have been better if some of the Mark Pichiotti mixes for All I See would have been included. Still a must for Kylie completists.
Excellent Re-Issue For The Collectors
2008-12-25 - Most Kylie fans have already picked up Kylie's latest cd "X". Disc 1 is the same as the U.S. release.
Disc 2 is the find here. Instead of simply retreading on the remixes that were released already on the cd singles as it happens so many times with these re-issues, we get here 7 commercially unreleased remixes plus 2 previously released remixes from the singles and the U.S. bonus track of "All I See" featuring MIMS.
While I would have liked for the Mark Picchiotti mix of "All I See" to have been included since it is quite rare, there's still plenty here for the collectors.
Most noteably, the Freemasons Vocal Club Mix of "The One" clocking in at
9+ minutes. The promo cd for this particular track has been selling on Ebay for as high as $200, so that's worth the price here alone.
Then there are the 2 versions of "Wow" here from the promo cd and 12" vinyl singles.
Rounding out with the 4 versions of "In My Arms" with only the Sebastien Leger Remix previously available on the cd single. The Spitzer Remix will be available on the upcoming "Boombox" cd as well.
