Description of That '70s Show - Season 6:
A serious season of That '70s Show? Perhaps that's a stretch in terms of describing the sixth season of the well-loved teen comedy series, but more than a few moments of gravitas slipped into the slapstick adventures of Eric Forman (Topher Grace) and his pals during its 2003-2004 network run. That's not to say that laughs weren't the order of the day; on the contrary, there are plenty of funny episodes throughout season six, thanks mainly to Kelso (Ashton Kutcher), who finds himself a new dad via new girl Brooke (guest star Shannon Elizabeth) and a police cadet (Jim Gaffigan appears as a fellow officer); and Fez (Wilmer Valderrama), who marries Eric's sister Laurie (played this season by Christine Moore) to avoid deportation. But there's the issue of Red's (Kurtwood Smith) overtaxed heart, and wife Kitty's (the always spot-on Debra Jo Rupp) feelings of neglect; Hyde (Danny Masterson) and the true identity of his father; and biggest of all, the romance of series sweethearts Eric and Donna (Laura Prepon), who decide to take their relationship to the next level by getting engaged. Season six is an enjoyable blend of low-key drama and broad laughs, well played by its likable cast; guest stars this season include Brooke Shields, Seth Green, Rachel Bilson, and Alyson Hannigan, and Luke Wilson and Tanya Roberts make return engagements as Kelso's brother Casey and Donna's mom Midge, respectively.

Extras include two "'70s Flashback" interviews with Smith and Rupp, who reflect on their tenures on the show; "Six Minutes of Season Six" edits the entire episode run down to digest form, and director David Trainer provides commentary on two episodes. -- Paul Gaita

    That '70s Show - Season 6 Reviews:
    Very good 4 Star Review
2009-09-23 - I am simply addicted to this show. But the 7th and the 8th seasons were no so good as the first ones. Actually it starts to go down hill in this one... What I don't like about this season is that the characters start to get very malicious, different than the way they used to be on the previous seasons... so some episodes are just not so funny... However, I own the whole collection and in general I love them all, so I do recommend it.

GREAT SHOW - GREAT SEASON - even Brooke Shields 5 Star Review
2009-05-23 - I love this show, I lived the seventies! What a cool time to grow up! In this set, I especially enjoyed seeing Brooke Shields play Mom to Jackie and girlfriend to Bob. The scene where Jackie and Donna discover Pam (B Shields) in a hot tub with Bob is too funny. Jackie and Donna joining forces to try to split their parents up is a hilarious change. Aaah - the Seventies - when you could count STDs on one hand. And cure the worst with a round of penicillin.

I noticed a review from a customer with skips, freezes, etc. If you have a problem with freezing, skipping, etc with a disc from a boxed set, try playing it in a friend's DVD player to be sure it isn't your player. Back in 2003 I returned two different boxed sets of "Keeping up Appearances" thinking both were defective. Skips and freezes showed up in same place on same disc with both BOXED sets. With the third set, I decided to try in a friend's DVD player. It played perfectly. The problem had been my player all along. My defective player was a RCA DRC220N - discarded since 2003.

Thanks for the Laughs 5 Star Review
2009-01-31 - Eric Forman and I are the same age according to the time period of the show and I was as much of a geek as he was. Your speed in reminding me how being young was fun makes my days special. Thank you for your efficiency and good business sense. May the force be with you...always.

    Great show 5 Star Review
2008-04-02 - This show is so funny, it got my wife and I through studying for the Bar Exam. We still watch these episodes over and over.

    Still groovin' 5 Star Review
2008-03-12 - That '70s Show - Season Six in my opinion is the last great season of this colorful and enegertic show. Season seven and eight were ok but the first six seasons had the best writing and character development. Season 6 had me laughing all the way through, so with that in mind buy this show, you won't regret it!
