Description of Led Zeppelin 1:
As it turned out, Led Zeppelin's infamous 1969 debut album was indicative of the decade to come--one that, fittingly, this band helped define with its decadently exaggerated, bowdlerized blues-rock. In shrieker Robert Plant, ex-Yardbird Jimmy Page found a vocalist who could match his guitar pyrotechnics, and the band pounded out its music with swaggering ferocity and Richter-scale-worthy volume. Pumping up blues classics such as Otis Rush's "I Can't Quit You Baby" and Howlin' Wolf's "How Many More Times" into near-cartoon parodies, the band also hinted at things to come with the manic "Communication Breakdown" and the lumbering set stopper "Dazed and Confused." --Billy Altman
Led Zeppelin 1 Reviews:
greatest drummer ever . whatever.
2009-11-18 - led zep is good. but come on there all like what like what 20 years older than ac/dc vanhalen, and so many others. led zep was always my favorite growing up. but after awhile i grew into more modern stuff. you can't live in the past people. any band that can't entertaining should just get out of the biz. face it people led zep is done. their is no more. i loved jason bonham but they think its nepotizm that got him in the buz. be hes got the chops so cut him a break.
Led Zep's first album is a winner!
2009-10-14 - A lot of people probably wouldn't agree with me... but I think this is Zeppelin's best album! Most people would say that Led Zep 4 (ZOSO) is thier finest moment... and honestly, it's hard to pick a favorite - because they're all good! But I always seem to play this one more often than the other Zep albums. I'll try to put this into words... The music has the feeling like Zep knew they were on to something BIG and bound for rock stardom but first had to prove to people that they had arrived and were ready! And were they ever!! Long live the LED!
didnt receive
2009-10-07 - I never received my order. I emailed the sender and still no response. I would not recommend buyers to purchase from this unreliable person.
Led Zeppelin 1 Rocks!
2009-08-06 - Want a walk down memory lane? It had been years since I heard some of this album. However, I recently retired and started spinning at my local health club. Some of the music is part of one instructor's mix. Wow! What a workout!
Good times, good times
2009-07-11 - The CD has the time-honored Atlantic label printed on it and the sound is great. Oh yeah, and it's Zep.
