MCA Nashville will officially released Lee Ann Womack's new single "Last Call", to radio June 30. Her highly-anticipated seventh album, produced by Tony Brown and titled Call Me Crazy, will debut this Fall.
"I'm so fired up to be back doing what I feel like I was born to do, which is making country music," said Womack. "The time I spent writing, looking for songs, and meeting with Tony felt so effortless and natural." "One of my favorite things when making a record is working with some of the best singers and musicians in the world...it was so fun to have some of them work on this project."
Four of the twelve tracks are co-written by Womack and fans will discover two other very well-known male voices accompanying the songstress, including Keith Urban and George Strait. Last time Womack and Strait collaborated was for "Good News, Bad News", which earned them a Country Music Association award for "Musical Event of the Year."

There Certainly Was More Where That Came From! 
2009-10-17 - What can I say about an album that is so perfect and flawless?Because that's exactly what this album is.
Call Me Crazy is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed and album of the year There's More Where That Came From.And she just keeps on getting better and better!
There's two things that strike you with these songs,first is Lee Ann's stunning vocals and second is the amazing songwriting.These songs have so much depth and meaning that you will easily get caught up in the emotion of each song.
It begins with the current hit single Last Call,great lyrics to this.Other fantastic ballads are Either Way(about a loveless marriage),Have You Seen That Girl(about losing yourself),to her superb rendition of George Strait's classic The King Of Broken Hearts.
But there's also some uplifting songs too like New Again,I Found It In You and The Story Of My Life,you will easily relate to this one.
It's produced by the legendary Tony Brown with Lee Ann herself writing 4 of the 12 tracks.
Country music has always been about songs that people can relate to in their everyday life and with this gem Lee Ann does that with ease.
You would be crazy not to have this in your cd collection.I simply cannot recommend it enough...
An amazing collection
2009-10-11 - If you like country music, real country music, you'll be hard pressed to find a more impressive CD than "Call Me Crazy." I can't stop listening to it. The songs are impeccably chosen. The production is sonically near perfection and the singing is to die for. If you liked "There's More Where That Came From" you'll love this. "Either Way" and I Think I Know" are two of the most spot-on, word-for-word perfect country songs to come out of Nashville in years. And "The Bees" is a complete original that uses a special appearance by Keith Urban with incredible restraint. There are a couple of nods to country radio, and even though they pale in comparison to the other songs, they are still on the better end of country radio. I love this CD and can't recommend it highly enough.
Everything A Real Country Record Should Be
2009-09-24 - On Call Me Crazy, Lee Ann's singing the material she does best; the songs are sometimes mournful, sometimes angry, always wringing with emotional depth and subtlety. To call this release old-fashioned is an understatement, yet it never feels dated. She covers topics like battered wives, broken marriages, and "cryin' in your beer" songs. The title track is now one of my all-time favorites by Lee Ann; its hauntingly beautiful and starkly realistic. The duet with George Strait, "Everything but Quits," is a Texas swing version of George and Tammy. This CD even features a fairly up-tempo, happy song, "I Found It in You."
The wait for this album was too long owing to the question of what direction LAW would take next with veteran hitmaker Tony Brown producing her for the first time. She's got a fine line to walk; her best material isn't radio-friendly and isn't likely to sell big. However, artistically this material is wonderful for her voice, and nobody can perform it the way she can. She tears the heart out of every note. Its refreshing for a lover of traditional country to hear these songs. I don't want her to change a thing. As far as accessibility goes, she'll never sell out. She's consistently declared it and even joked about it: "I hope this record works out for us," she said. "If it doesn't, I've got a plan. I'm gonna go pop...They might as well take one of ours, I guess."
Another real country CD with all the trimmings
2009-09-19 - Lee Ann Womack is one of those rare voices in contemporary country that relies on traditional music to get her voice across. "Call Me Crazy" is another album in a long line that showcases Lee Ann's true country voice. Great album.
